Zuzu promised herself to not cut her hair until everything is okay. Until she has stability and safety. Until she feels like she isn't just waste of space. Until she feels like she can confidently walk outside and know that she has someone to come back to.
Until then, she just trims off barely an inch off. Maybe one day her roommate will come back to see her with a new hair cut.
