As a Cupid, it's Lev's job to get couples together, bring friends together, or some cases, separate people. Lev knows what people like and who they like. They know who actually belong together and who don't. They know who's soulmates with who, both platonic and romantic.
Nex so desperately wants to reconnect with Axel again. He would do anything, he seriously would. He wonders why his god won't let him. Is he being punished? Why can't he go see him?
Truth be told, Lev pities Nex's desperation, but they can't help him. He's too obsessed, he strongly believes they belong together, romantic and platonic wise. Nex can't see Axel until he realizes that maybe they aren't meant to be, that he needs to stop thinking about himself and think about what Axel would want.
