"What are your plans after your graduation?" Hayley asked

"What are your plans after your graduation?" Hayley asked.

I shrugged off. "I'm not sure, but I can't wait to get off this island."

Biglang sumimangot ang mukha ni Hayley. Para bang may sinabi akong mali? But she's always like this, we all get used to it.

"What?" I asked laughing.

She slightly hit me on my arm and crossed her arms, I feel like I hit a wrong pedal that turned this girl maddy-mad-mad.

"You said you'll stay here as Cuyo. Narinig ko kayo nag-usap ni kuya no'n, e. I remember that day. Akala mo ha?"

I chuckled, shaking my head. "Well, that's true. Sinabi ko nga 'yon sa kuya mo, pero bakit ka naman nakikinig sa usapan namin, ha?"

She quickly rolled her eyes at me avoiding answering the question. "Nevermind na lang. May pasabi-sabi ka pa noon na hindi ka aalis ng Cuyo pero sabik na sabik ka na palang umalis ng isla. Remember, walang Hayley at Kuya Onat sa ibang isla."

"I know, I know, I know," I said, letting out a deep sigh. "But I know there's a lot of opportunity out of this island and I don't wanna enter politics just because my father is running for being Cuyo's Vice Mayor. I think this isn't just for me."

"Okay," she bitterly replied. "At saan mo naman balak pumunta?"

"Sa Coron."

Hayley glared at me and thought I was just joking, but I am smiling too proud of my answer that get her pissed a little

"For real ba talaga?" Hayley asked, her tone saddened and I felt that. "Or nagjo-joke ka lang?"

Umiling ako. "I wish I am, but yeah, no. I have actually been planning to do it since when I was young. Graduation is just a few days away, and my parents already secured a ticket for me to go to Coron the next day. I surely will miss you, Hayley."

Hayley quickly wrapped her arms around me, giving me a tight hug. It felt like she doesn't want to let me go, so I just returned it back.

And then I heard her murmuring something I wasn't able to figure out.

"What did you say?" I asked.

"Huh?" she muttered, hastily pulling herself from the hug, and shaking her head. "Wala, a? Imbento ka na naman. But if that's something that would make you happy, support kita riyan. Saka don't forget to message me and kuya! Lalo na kapag bored ka ro'n."

"I don't think I'll get bored there," natatawa kong sagot. "But thanks for the care."

"Ako pa ba?" Ngisi pa nito. "Anyway, congratulations agad! Sana hindi ka magka-jowa pagdating mo ng Coron."

My brows joined together when she said that. "You don't mean that, do you?"

But she just gave me a quirky smile I don't like. "Hindi mo sure." She giggled.
