Everything seems right on track, well for me it does.
For the past couple of months, I was so worried about the fact that Cory and I will never have a chance to talk to each other again, but when we did, it was different from what I thought it would be.
Cory and I became good friends again after a while of lost communication.
What happened was canonical. Naghihintayan lang pala kaming dalawa na may mag-reach out, but both of us don't have the courage to do so. We both think we don't want them to be bothered and probably have a high chance to be ignored. That was my concern and all that changed when I met her personally.
If I wasn't brave enough to take Danny's plan for me to go to Manila, we both wouldn't be in this position. Cory could've flown back to Palawan and picked up the pieces she left in Cuyo while I could just sent her a message to get right on it.
After I went to Manila a few weeks ago, I just landed back at the airport and Cory has no idea about it. Ang alam niya lang ay babalik ako ng Manila para sumama sa kanya sa Australia, but I didn't tell her when.
I booked a car from the airport to her condo unit. She left a message to me earlier, but I haven't responded to her since I left Palawan. I tried to send her a photo of me when I arrived and nothing more. Nagkaroon pa ng delayed kanina sa flight ko kaya ang halos isang oras na flight ay inabot sa dalawang oras na delay.
I arrived safely in Cory's condo after thirty minutes. Good thing, there wasn't heavy traffics along our way so I quickly get there without minding the time.
Alam ko naman kung saan ang unit niya kaya dire-diretsyo na ako sa floor niya. Nang matunton ko ang tapat ng unit niya at humugot pa ako nang malalim na hininga bago ako kumatok sa pinto niya.
After a while, bumukas ang pinto at bumungad sa akin si Cory na nagulat pa sa pagdating ko.
"I'm back!" Bungad ko sa kanya at saka ako lumapit para yakapin ko siya.
"Grabe naman sa yakap..."
"I know you miss this." Ngisi pa nito.
Hinampas niya ako sa braso dahil sa higpit nang pagkayayakap ko sa kanya. Itinaas niya ang tingin sa akin.
"Nice to see you again... Doggy."
"Me, too!"
Pero muli niya akong hinampas sa braso ko. "Ikaw, ha! Kaya pala hindi ka nag-re-reply dahil nandito ka na pala sa Manila! Kaasar ka."
"At least, na-surprise naman kita kahit paaano, 'no?"
"I know! Pero sana nagsabi ka naman sa akin. Hindi ako masyadong nakapaghanda. Medyo magulo ang kwarto ko. Stay ka lang diyan sa labas, kasalanan mo 'yan."
"Okay lang ako sa magulo," aniko. "Ginulo mo na nga ang buhay ko, guluhin mo pa."
"Loko ka!" Irap pa nito sa akin. "Pasok ka na nga. 'Wag ka munang mangingialam habang mag-aayos ako."
