As you three were walking to the elevator you decided to open a conversation. The elevator door closed, you saw Thor reach over to click a button, you couldn't really tell which one due to his whole hand blocking the view.
As soon as the elevator doors closed, you decided to open up.
"Do I HAVE to sit and eat with the Avengers?" You said, clearly annoyed. You couldn't stand them, if anything you were embarrassed. Just two days ago, they were all standing and pointing their weapons at you. You absolutely dreaded the thought of sitting with them after that.
"No, but why not?" Thor asked. Thor was absolutely confused. He didn't understand your point of view and how awkward it would be for you, he just wanted to invite you and see you as a friend rather than a stranger.
"It's just.. I don't exactly.. uh.. enjoy their company." You tried not to sound rude because you didn't want to break Thors heart. You wouldn't mind hanging out with him, you could tolerate him. However, you couldn't tolerate those other Avengers.
"Uhh.. I suppose you can eat with Loki? He also doesn't sit with them." He tried to offer a resolution. It wasn't exactly a resolution, but you'd still take it anyway rather than being with them."WHA-" Loki quickly snapped his head angrily towards Thor before he was cut off.
"That's great, Loki agrees. Now I suppose you two can just go off together."
Thor completely ignored his anger and request, he didn't want to put you in a spot where you were not welcomed.
"For the record, I did NOT consent to this." Loki glared at Thor, while you stood in the middle of them, keeping your head down.
You stood there awkwardly, not knowing your place into this brotherly feud. The tension has rose, rapidly. Before one of them said something to cause a fight, which you didn't want to be in the middle of, you decided to open a new subject."Uhh.. so what are we even eating?" You asked, trying to break the tension.
"Soup. Traditional Asgardian Soup." Loki said, right before the elevator made a 'ding' noise.
You knew the soup, it used to be one of your favourites back in Asgard. You loved the warmth, the texture and overall the taste.
The elevator door slowly opened, revealing a luxurious kitchen bar, large living room and a huge dining table. This would be the Avenger hangout, living area, you assumed.
"This is where I departure. Actually wait, Y/n. Why don't you give them a try. If you still don't enjoy their company then you can just ask Loki and go."
You were in a position where the elevator doors were still open, and you were exposed to the dining table and living area where most avengers are. Thor just so happened to talk loudly, attracting everybody's attention.
You were fuming inside. You wanted to scream 'NO', your plans were ruined. You were more than happy to sit with Loki if it meant you wouldn't have to face those annoying Avengers. But if you said no, it would make you look desperate to sit with Loki. And if you said no, all those avengers would know.
When have you ever been scared of what people had to say? If this were any other rich family, you'd simply humble them with insults. But you couldn't, because the difference was that you were being imprisoned here. You were vulnerable, you couldn't do anything stupid until those power limitators were gone.
"Uhh.. Sure." You said with the most fakest 'happy' tone. You had a feeling that Loki noticed, after-all, he seemed to be a sorcerer.
"That's great! Loki, sit with us now." Thor called him out. Needless to say, you felt guilty for dragging Loki with you.
That's great, now you just forced Loki to sit with the Avengers as well.
You thought Loki would throw a tantrum and say no, but surprisingly he gave in easily. It was weird, Loki could've easily teleported away or just stand up for himself, but he didn't. You were grateful at most.
