"Thor, I literally only gave you one job." Iron man had his helmet off and dug his face onto his robot arm where he shook his head in utter disappointment. "They attacked us!" Thor yelled defensively. Iron man only rolled his eyes.
The ride back to the tower was pretty awkward. On one side of the quinjet, you were dead asleep. Loki sat next to you, holding you upright with his hand snaked around your waist and your head laying on his shoulder.
And next to Loki was Thor who was also leaning onto Loki. He would use Lokis shoulder as some sort of arm rest as he was in deep thought.
Black Widow and Clint were in the front seats, obviously piloting the quinjet back to the tower, and Steve and Iron man opposite you. Of course, you're completely unaware as you're in a deep trance of sleep.
"How long is she gonna be like that?" Steve nodded at you, but keeping eye contact with Loki.
"Give or take, two days." Loki said nonchalantly, practically shrugging with his head as he couldn't move his shoulders.
"Two days?" Clint chimed in with a concerned tone. It was as if sleeping for two days straight was abnormal.
"She's exhausted her energy. Two days would probably be the minimum." Loki replied, leaning back and thumping his head on the roof corner of the quinjet, but not moving his shoulder.
"So who's going to break the news to Fury?" Tony randomly joked, to which Natasha and Clint collectively replied "Not it" at the exact same time.
"I will talk with Fury and get the matter sorted. No need to stress, friends." Thor smiled at everybody. Thor was never scared of Fury, instead Fury had a soft spot for Thor if anything. You couldn't really tell if that was just favouritism or the fact he was somewhat intimidated by Thor.
"Yeah also, is it just me who noticed? What's up with Loki and Y/N?" Natasha sarcastically said, turning her head onto Loki from the front seat with a big smirk.
"Yeah, what about that?" Tony also questioned, with an interested gaze and his chin cupped between two fingers. Apparently the little affairs and closure between the two of yous hadn't gone unnoticed.
"I just carried her to the quinjet, is there an issue?" Loki's tone was somewhat innocent and genuinely confused as if he had been left behind on the overall matter.
"I've never seen someone so smart yet so dumb at the same time." Clint joked, still focused on the technology in front of him.
"What?" Loki's tone suddenly becoming passive aggressive as he was still confused.
Loki suddenly noticed that all eyes were on his shoulder, the one your head was resting on. The fellow avengers made questionable eyebrow movements to ultimately refer to your relationship.
"What? She's sleeping. Do you want me to leave her on the ground to fend for herself? I'm not that evil." Loki somewhat smiled, knowing full well he'd ditch any of them any second of the day with no ounce of guilt.
"We know full well that if that we're any of us you'd take pleasure in watching us snore with the rats." Steve gave Loki a stern look. Loki began internally smirking to himself, also knowing that was true.
"Just saying, the first thing you did to me was call me a mewling quim and threaten to kill me and my bestfriend. The first thing you did to her was steal Bruce's breakfast to give to her so she wouldn't be hungry." Natasha joked, still poking her head from the front seat.
"Wait when was that?" Tony suddenly sat up, looking at Natasha and was genuinely confused.
"First of all, how did you know that? And second of all, I'm a changed man." He shrugged, rolling his eyes. All the other avengers were giving him a 'really?' type of look.
