"Mommy, Mommy, Look at this?" You said, running towards your mother who was peacefully sitting on her brown, cracked, broken sofa. "What is it honey?" She said, putting her book down and moving to the edge of her seat. Holding your small little hands. "Look, I can do a magic trick!" You jumped in glee and cheered. Mother let out a little giggle and dropped your hands. "Well? Go on then princess. Show me." You nodded, releasing a giggle.

You took a few steps forward, so your entire frame was in her perspective. You held your body together, still. Then you squeezed your eyes shut.

"Y/N? PRINCESS?" Your mother quickly got up, worried. You had disappeared. She quickly searched her surroundings trying to spot you. She held her hands to her head, clearly panicking. You reappeared behind her and poked her back. She startled at your tiny finger poking into her ragged old dress.

She quickly bent to your level, and wrapped her arms around you. She put her hands on your forehead, your hair, checking you basically,

Little did young Y/n know, she wasn't worried about the fact that she 'disappeared'. No. She was worried about what the royals would do when they found out about her.

Ah-ha! I figured it out mother! You yelled across the small, cracked house. You ran from your room with a big paper in your palms.

"What is it princess?" She asked. Sitting on that same couch, didn't move a single inch from the past when your powers were discovered. Mother was old now. Her beautiful hair had become grey, and wrinkles took over her (S/c) freckled skin.

You quickly ran up to her with the paper. The paper was filled with your small rushed handwriting and intelligent planning. There were visuals, labels and backup plans scattered throughout the paper. Mother picked up her glasses and placed it on the top of her nose, gentle taking the paper from your hands. You stood right behind her, reading with her.

"This is brilliant, but i'm too old.. I'm too fragile. I don't think I would make it." She said, hints of sadness filling her voice. You weren't going to leave her behind, absolutely not. "No mother. I'll be doing all the work. You just get to sit your fragile self in the ship while I get us out of here, alright?" You bent to her level, Holding her hands and looking straight into her eyes. She just giggled, "Well if you insist."

You ran and ran and ran. The adrenaline was powering through your veins. You shielded yourself using your force fields, as the guards threw their spears and knives at you.

You turned your head to check if you had lost them. But to your lack of luck you bumped into something, or should I say 'someone'. You rubbed your head whilst still laying on the floor. The figure you had bumped into was definitely muscular and strong, considering his shadow was still covering you. He hadn't even flinched or move a single inch from the ground his stands on.

You looked up at this figure. He had dark long ravishing hair that fell to his shoulders. It was slicked back behind his ear, bringing out his glowing emerald eyes. His jawline was sharp, and was shining through the burning sunlight in the background. Needless to say, he was handsome.

To your surprised, he offered you something.

A hand.

You hesitantly grabbed it and let him help you up. You observed him quickly, noticing his outfit. Fine Asgardian leather, looked very familiar. The realisation came like a smack across the face.

Loki, prince of Asgard.

You opened your mouth to say something but nothing left your throat. Shit, you got caught. How were you going to get out of this one?

Just as your day couldn't get any worse, you heard the sound of guards yelling and stomping. Loki was still gripping onto your arm.

You looked to and from him to the guards, making it obvious you were terrified and needed to run. He saw the frightened expression glistening in your eyes.

"When you enter the ship room, enter from your left." He didn't even look at you. He just dropped your arm. You stared at him with your jaw still opened, then quickly turned your head to the sight of the guards getting closer. You nodded at him and began running yet again.

Present tense

You slumped onto your chair, wiping some blood and sweat off your forehead.

That man really put up a fight. But it doesn't matter. These pain and scars are temporary, but this money is forever. You took off your skin tight black suit, that had red lines tracing your figure.

Your suit:

You knocked on the door to your mothers room, it opened by itself welcoming you.

She was laying on a big white bed, with some stolen life support machines on the side. Her hair had somehow got even greyer, it was practically white. The wrinkles officially took over every spec of her skin. She was old, fragile and vulnerable. You both know there isn't much time left. You sighed and closed the door, for you had just wanted to check if she was alright.

You decided to go about your usual routine, you had a long shower and treated your wounds. Then you went to your kitchen and made yourself a small meal. Whilst taking a bite of your bread, you grabbed the letter that was laying on the counter. Your pay check from Tuesday. You pulled the dollar bills out one by one, counting each and every note.

$146. Those bastards scammed you. It was supposed to be $210.

You dropped your bread and tore the envelope piece of piece for anymore cash that they had rightfully owed you. Instead a letter:

Dear Y/n.

You won't be receiving your full pay check considering the job wasn't done properly. His body was discovered. Do better.

Signed, ???

You were fuming with anger. Your plan hadn't worked. Plus, the police could be onto you now. But you still got the job done, they had no right to cut off $54 from your pay.

You rolled your eyes and just decided to forget it. You had no right to complain since that was the only paying job you practically had. You grabbed your bread and began chewing it.

You sat on the couch and turned on the tv, to a random cartoon playing on the screen. As you were nibbling on your piece of bread you looked through your phone screen to see your next mission for tomorrow.

Rob Tony Stark and the Avengers.
