The cell was slowly driving you into absolute insanity, good thing Loki randomly came in with a tower of books.
You really didn't think that the entire 2012 incident was worth talking about, it only reminded you of your life and dreadful missions. You weren't exactly keen on letting the whole entire tower know that you were somewhat involved with Lokis attack.
Your head laid waste to the uncomfortable silk cloud that helped you process your constant reoccurring thoughts, you held your arms up, almost like a zombie, but instead with purpose as you read a long book.
Your head imagined a whole new fantasy, something that stopped you from feeling like a prisoner slowly rotting to her death in a white, glass cell. The oxygen was getting stuffier by the minute and there was no such thing as privacy, like a torture room.
You were suddenly awoken from the fantasy, as the classic sound of leather boots hit the ground, tapping and tapping to your direction.
The sudden entrance startled you, causing you to drop the book square in the face. You hissed in pain and threw the book out of anger, then proceeded to sit up, facing the glass wall for whoever was going to come in.
You were shocked with the presence of Director Fury, he hadn't really bothered or really cared of you since you got caught, he looked like he had more important things to deal with. For him, of all people to suddenly be visiting you in your cell sounded intimidating.
"Y/N." He said in a bold tone.
"Fury." You replied, mirroring his tone."What was your overall impression from that meeting?"
"I got the impression that everybody wanted me to rot in prison.""Do you feel that?" He crossed his arms, curious for an answer.
"No.""Why is that?" He lifted his eyebrows.
"I've faced my consequences, it's not fair to keep me in here for the sake of your insecurities." You said with a condescending voice.
"Sheesh, straight to the point." He said with obvious sarcasm."Do you feel as if you're going to be stuck here forever?"
"At this rate, yeah.""Do you want to be stuck here for forever?"
"Absolutely not.""So, what limits would you reach to be free?"
"I'd go above and beyond." You said with a flirtatious attitude, planting an obvious fake smile on your face."Interesting. Makes me wonder what you'd say if I suddenly told you that you could be free right now."
You dropped your arms, as well as your smile.
"What's the catch?"
"I wouldn't say there is a catch.. more of a win-win."
"Tell me the catch." You demanded."You get to call yourself an Avenger." He said, silencing anything you were about to say.
"Just like that?" You crossed your arms again, in disbelief.
"Ding, ding, ding. That's where the catch is." He yelled with sarcasm.
"I'll only tell you what's expected, if you agree of course." He stared, waiting for a response.
"If i say no?" You instigated.
"Then your previous prediction becomes a reality." He quickly snapped with a bold voice.Instead of a response, you looked deeper into his eyes and body language, trying to undermine what he really meant.
"I'm giving you an offer, take it or leave it. Didn't you say you'd go above and beyond?" Fury started going inpatient, but if you didn't know any better, it almost seemed as if he wanted you to agree.
