Song: Bubble Gum - Clairo
"What do you mean by that?"
They stopped and took off the glasses covering Michelle's eyes. "That's what I mean."
"Even if I had broken an arm I would still be here," Michelle affirmed putting the glasses back on, feeling a little bit of her soft pale skin, even though it wasn't in purpose, it felt like a whisper, a code, like by that touch Michelle had told a secret to Aelin. "Why are you so late though?" They started walking again.
"I don't know if you remember, but I left your house at four." They looked at Michelle, analyzing her walk, clothes, and shoes. "Who was that girl?" They were so curious that they couldn't let Michelle finish the word 'roommate'. "You like her."
"No."
"Why did you act like that?"
"I was drunk, furious."Michelle could feel Aelin's dark eyes on her and that was making her nervous like she was being frozen.
"I like your hair." They said, after a long pause.
"Thank... thank you."
And they didn't talk anymore. When arrived at the large natural stream of water, Aelin was with another girl and Michelle with the earphones on, doing her work. Hours later, when they were back at the volunteering center, Sage called Michelle.
"Don't tell me you went to Volunteer Bank."
"Yeah, I'm here."
"Michelle, your face is a mess."
"Not my legs, darling." She was in a room that worked as a refectory but wasn't eating, standing in a corner and holding a book.
"Anyways... Don't get into a fight anymore."
After lunch, they were, once again, ordered to share «THINK GREEN, KEEP THE ENVIRONMENT GREEN» flyers for the next 3 hours. Aelin approached Michelle, inviting her to accompany them and she came to the conclusion that it was better to do it with that person she already knew than with a complete stranger. They spent those 3 hours reaching out to people at the subway station, but also discussing books.
"They are boring, too many letters." And then about anime. "No way! You also watch anime?"
"Are you kidding me? What's your favorite?" Drawing, metaphysics,... As they were talking, walking back to the place they had come from, Michelle wasn't feeling the fear anymore, the voice on her head saying to back off. "I'll bring you a book tomorrow."
Aelin laughed. "Don't. I won't read it." Michelle was looking at them, also with a smile from ear to ear.
"I'll make you."
They said goodbye to each other and followed opposite paths. Ten minutes later, Michelle was already at the bus stop, head dived into the book, when Aelin appeared in front of her, panting, red, asking for the other's phone number.
"Couldn't you wait for tomorrow?"
"No! We still have to discuss whether One Piece or Naruto is the best anime." She started walking away, with a smirk.
"But you haven't watched One Piece yet."
Seconds later the answer arrived through SMS: «What do you mean 'yet'? I won't.»

Sage was wearing Michelle's black shorts and a white top when opened the door to Cole.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, surprised, as leaned against the wall to let him get in.
