Song: ARE WE STILL FRIENDS? - Tyler, The Creator

"Wait-" She gulped at the same time the thought she had fucked up crossed her mind.

"I'll not. You don't even have an explanation for this." He declared with a still voice, turned around, and started walking towards the exit he wasn't sure where it was.

Sage called for his name but was completely ignored by him, who was feeling like an idiot, an ingenue. The girl gave a step addressing her boyfriend, listening to her heart next to her ear, too loud, but a cold hand grabbed her by the upper arm and pushed her.

"Let go of me, Michelle!" She ordered, holding to not break down and start sobbing. "Don't you think you've fucked up things enough already?" Sage looked deep into her roommate's eyes, unaware of the tears that were already falling, and thrust words she didn't care if would hurt the other or not. "Sometimes I can't understand how you can be so fucking selfish and only think about yourself. Don't you understand that I don't want to be with you? I'll never do such a thing, okay?"

It started raining and the multitude started running or just walking faster like they were afraid of the cold water and getting the flu. Michelle pushed her closer and whispered in her ear what she knew and saw about the event between Nia and Cole, at the same time she caught Aelin running to them.

"And now you lie to me?" Her tears were scattered among the rain on her brown skin, the turtle neck t-shirt glued to her body and her curls got more weighted. "Let go of me."

Michelle released her arm and kept anything that somebody else in her position would say to defend themselves inside her and watched Sage's sad eyes traversing her body with some disgust and fear of that person she didn't know but lived with.

"Why are you putting the fault on me if you kissed me, Sage? You're being so fucking stupid. I thought you were smarter, I thought you were more rational." Michelle attacked. "You prefer to believe in that guy that you met like five months ago than in me, the one you met when you were eight, and call your best friend."

Aelin realized it wasn't a big moment to meddle, so they stepped back and disappeared. The two girls forgot about the fat drops of water and stayed there like two abandoned people, staring furiously at each other, preparing more sharp weapons to throw at each other. Sage didn't answer. Her throat was hurting too much, the sigh was starting to get blurry and she couldn't lose any more time.

Contrariwise, Michelle's head started hurting and she zoned out for a moment, the space around her started to move around her body and it had become black. When her vision came back, Sage wasn't in front of her but a few meters away, taking long and anxious steps and repeating the path her partner outlined.

Michelle contacted Aelin and they found a way to meet up in a nearby cafe and went home by uber. Aelin didn't understand much of the situation but neither asked Michelle about it since they had seen Cole and then Sage leaving, obviously frustrated.

"Why don't you come over?" They asked when the Uber driver pulled up in front of their house. Michelle fondled their hand and said she was too tired and wanted to sleep. "Make sure to take your medicine." They whispered in her ear after giving a long and worrying kiss on her cheek.

To swallow and forget the last words Sage had told her, Michelle didn't even realize the number of cigarettes she smoked and got lost looking at the rain and drinking alcohol, burning her throat by letting a pleasant flavor on her tongue. After that, she slowly walked to her room, took off her shirt and pants despite the ten degrees celsius, and fell asleep, amazed by the loud sound of the dull rain and bearing the headache she was already used to. She didn't want to spend more time thinking. Thinking about the future, a future, the conclusion, a conclusion. The conclusion was death, that's what she once read and couldn't agree more with it.
