Song: Ferrari - The Neighbourhood
Not too far away, Sage and Cole were entering Skye and Nia's apartment, a bit different from Sage and Michelle's. The living room was in a separate area from the kitchen. The hall was at the beginning of a corridor, on its left side two doors to the bedrooms, on its right a double one to the living room and another to the kitchen and, to finish, the bathroom on the end. They had appeared without an announcement due to the boringness they were facing at home. Skye was in her room, playing her acoustic guitar and singing and Nia had just arrived behind them from a choreography recording with her friends. In their bright orange and brown decorated kitchen, Skye informed me she was about to make garlic prosciutto bread but needed to buy some ingredients missing. Her sister offered to go.
"No, I'll be making Nia company," Cole answered Sage's question if she wanted to go too.
The dancer smiled as she tied her curls in a ponytail. "I'll just take a shower and I'll be right away."
The twins left and Cole persisted abandoned in the kitchen with his earphones looking for something bizarre and astonishing in that unknown twenty-square meters space for about ten minutes. When Nia got back, wearing black shorts and a sweater with 'Je m'en fou' written on it, she suggested going to the living room or her room.
"Is there something special in your bedroom?"
He noticed the almost invisible dimples on her cheek as she simpered. In comparison with his girlfriend, Nia was smaller, yet more agile, and with a strong appearance. Shy, childish, and cute when nothing is calling for her attention but sassy and bold in other circumstances.
Her room was a tiny place but with an amazing interior design, Michelle had drawn for her back in time she was doing an online free course. A single bed was in the corner of the room, between a large window and the white wall covered with printed photos. On the opposite side of the usual desk with a big framed photo of a group of people Cole deduced was her dance group above it and a hanging hat collection.
"What's your individuality?" Cole asked, putting on a blue hat with orange letters.
"I am." Nia's smile was widened, addictive, and sweet.
"I like the response." He laughed.
A loud silence deluged the room as Nia walked to Cole and lodged her elbows on his shoulders. Confused and perplexed, he made sure she knew about his relationship with her roommate's sister.
"Nia..." He moved his hands to her front. "I like you a lot, but this is not right."
"I thought you liked individualities..." She laughed. "Plus, Sage doesn't need to know."
Nia intertwined her fingers in Cole's long hair and kissed his rosy lips. The hat fell on their feet at the same time a bolt of lightning struck Cole and he pushed Nia against the wall and used his right hand as a collar on her neck. His mind went blank and his muscles started working versus his will. They kissed like two monsters about to devour the other, with their hot body crushed on the other, savoring the taste of their skin.
Even when the voices of the sisters sounded right next to his ear, the boy seemed unable to release his hands off of Nia's thighs and unglue his mouth from the sweetness and bitterness of hers.
On that same night, he texted her, asking to forget about what happened, with an incredibly heavy conscience, maddening whether he should tell Sage and ruin a friendship or not, but he decided to believe the best option was to omit it and move forward. Little suspected that months later, the one he was less sympathized with would be the one witnessing an alike scene.
