Jealous Clint

I start to clean before I lock up when I notice a pocket watch and see who it be belongs to and roll my eyes "yeah hi Steve it's Charlie emmm... you left your pocket watch  I will put it in lost and found." I am about to hang up when I hear him speak, "Charlie why don't you bring it over to me?" I sighed "fine what's the address." He starts laughing as everyone knows where the avengers tower is, I get annoyed so I hang up annoyed I slam the cafe door and go out to Eddie "hey bro can you please drop me off at the avengers place please, need to give blondie his pocket watch back." He looks at me with a glare "I will drop you off down the street," I smile and hug him.

He drives when Steve calls me "what?" He stays silent as he wasn't expecting me to yell "I'm at the compound and since you are coming over why don't I introduce you to everyone when they aren't being arrogant and maybe a walk in the park after?" I sigh and tell Eddie to go to the compound not the tower, "we will see be there in 5 bye." Hanging  up before he responded, Eddie dropped me off "be careful please Lottie I know your human but please as you have let him use you before when I struggled," I smiled and kissed his cheek "I will be fine Ed and if not I will knocked them out with my killer punch," he smiles as I get out the car "text if you need picked up love you Lottie," "love you to Ed and V," closing the door I headed to the compound.

I rang the bell when a voice response "please identify yourself and purpose of visit," I look at the camera and growl you can't be serious "emm Charlotte Peggy Brock and I am here to return twinkle toes pocket watch," I giggle at my nickname until I get as cut of by the stupid machine "you may enter" the voice said, walking in I feel like I am being watched "ah miss Brock I didn't know you had a life away from the cafe there is a check in the mail for the dinner today." I rolled my eyes "hello Tony where is twinkle toes?" He laughed at my nickname "Steve is in the common room, may I say an interesting middle name."

I look down not liking personal questions "I'm named after my biological fathers best friend well from what I was told." He was took back by my words "you mean Carl and Jamie Brock are not your real parents?" I look down I hate hearing their names as I miss them so much, "no they adopted me as my parents didn't want me, Eddie looks after me now and protects me." I look away feeling uncomfortable telling him so much "may I ask who your real parents are?" I look at him trying to think what to say "I don't know there was supposed to be a picture but it was lost." I sigh not really wanting to see it again, "would you like me to do a dna test as you look awfully familiar." I shook my head "no Eddie is my real family I don't care about the others or what the dna says."

I feel a tap on my shoulder "are you ok little mite?" I turn and glare at Steve "yeah twinkle toes, here's your watch." He chuckles looking into my eyes "twinkle toes really?" Smiling that I gave him a nickname "yes now if you want to go a walk then please take off the tights." Tony burst out laughing and walked out the room "certainly princess don't want the other girls to swoon over me as I'm with you." He kisses my cheek  as he walks away leaving me blushing "Charlotte? What are you doing here couldn't keep away from me could you?" My heart races hoping he didn't notice the blush in my cheeks "you wish arrow head I'm actually here as Steve, is taking me out on a walk." His face dropped and body language shifted "you are aware he's only taking you out to make his ex Sharon jealous." I turned to him in shock the jealousy in his voice "well at least he had the courage to ask me out." I was close to tears, but managing to keep them from falling "who said I wanted to go out with you, your just a pathetic spoiled little princess who hides behind others when stuff gets hard, you are nothing not even your parents wanted you, so why the hell would I." My heart broke my eyes filled with water only thing that stopped me breaking down was Steve pulling me in for a hug "to far Clint there was no need in that, come sweetheart let's get out of here." He took me by the hand and we left Clint standing shocked at what he just said.

Clint's pov
(Shit what the fuck did I just do? She's a sweet caring woman and I said such mean things, she's never going to speak to me again) I go and find Natasha "hey can I have a word?" She looks up from a book "sure Clint what's up?" I look down trying to think of the words "the girl I have liked for a while now well I think I just fucked up I said some nasty stuff nat, you should have seen the heartbreak on her face." Nat looks at him "Clint you are an idiot sometimes I will have a word with her explain that you are a shy teenage boy in a grown ass man's body who doesn't know how to deal with jealousy." I glare at her as she laughs "just go in disguise please as she won't talk to you as well you." She rolls her eyes as we come up with an idea, although my mind is to busy wondering what her and Steve are doing something I really don't want to think about.

Charlie pov
As we leave Steve's keeping a firm grip on my waist "are you ok?" I look up at him "I just didn't expect Clint to say something like that to me, not going to lie I thought he liked me." Steve sighed and pulled me in for a hug when I thought I seen some one but when I pulled from the hug they where no longer there. "why don't we pretend to date you can make Clint jealous and I will make Sharon jealous." I roll my eyes "Steve I ain't being funny but I don't want to date anyone right now not even fake dates I have seen enough films to know that you will fall for me." He smiled knowing that I wanted to date just not him "well I hope we can at least still have some fun." I look at him shocked "Steven Rogers! I thought you where supposed to be a proper gentleman."

We both laughed as he slowly moved in and kissed me, I didn't pull away but wrapped my arms around his neck kissing him back. "I hope you will allow me to take you out for a meal sweetheart." I nod secretly wanting to make Clint jealous with Steve "you have my number, but I need to go see you around twinkle toes," I started to walk the other direction before he grabbed me and pulled me in again for a kiss "let me walk you home." I wanted to be alone I want to think about what happened, why Clint would be so horrible. "Steve I can look after myself plus there is no reason anyone would be after me I and just an ordinary human girl who runs a cafe, now I will see you later, you lot are so paranoid" I walk away glancing back at Steve who still wants to follow me however respects my wishes and goes back towards the compound.
