Chapter 18: Cats sleep up to 70 percent of their lives.

Domestic cats do mostly four things: sleep, eat, run, or play. It turns out, sleeping takes up more time than the other three activities combined. With of their lives dedicated to sleep, cats are among the most frequent sleepers in the animal world because, in the wild, they must use a lot of energy to hunt.

Lisa's POV

Jennie messaged me that she'll be late today since they still have to attend the farewell party of her boss. She said that no need to pick her up since she'll go home with Irene after the party.

I decided to continue coding and reviewing the draft of our next project.

It's already 10 PM and I still not gotten a message from Jennie. I'm a bit worried already.

I was about to sleep when my phone rings. It's Irene who's calling me.

"Irene?" I answered the call

"Lis, can you come over? Jennie is so drunk and I'm afraid I can't take her home. I'm drink a little but I just sober up". Irene said

"I'll be there". I told here as I ended the call. I immediately wore my hoodie jacket and get my keys.

I decided to use car to secure Jennie's safety given her state.

I drove fast, luckily there's no more cars in the street given it's already late. I park in front of their office so I can easily carry Jennie.

As I entered the building, I saw Deb in the lobby assisting my wasted girlfriend. She's so wasted and I think she painted.

"Hey!" I shouted to Deb and I run towards their direction

"I'll take care of her thanks for assisting her". I said to Deb as I remove her hands to Jennie. Glad that I arrived on time or she might take advantage of my drunk girlfriend. Deb just smiled at me and I can also smell the alcohol from her breathing.

"Such a wrong timing, Lisa but yeah nice meeting you again". Deb said smirking.

"Stay away from my girl". I told her as I carried Jennie in bridal style

"Chill chill". She said raising her both arms. Deb is really testing my patience. I really wanted to punch her

"Take care of Jennie, I might steal her". She said and left

I wanted to grab her face and punch but my wasted girlfriend is currently in my arms.

I didn't waste time and brough her to my car. I slowly put her in the passenger's seat so she will not wake up.

I called Irene before starting the engine of my car.

"Hey, Irene! I'm with Jennie now. How about you? Do you want me to drop you off?" I asked

"No Lisa, I'm fine. Thank you for coming and for updating me. Please take care of Jennie".

"I will". Then I hung up. I drive slowly until we reach her apartment and I have her keys.

"Jennie, come here. Let's go inside". I told her while she's peacefully sleeping.

We're about to go inside but she puked. She puked to my hoodie and it was spilled to her clothes as well. I have no choice but to removed my hoodie and undress her. I laid her naked body to bed and wipe it of a lukewarm water. She pulled me that causes me to fall on top of her. Our face is an inches away. I took that opportunity to stare to her and caressed her face. I can't control myself so I kissed her, she didn't respond but she let out a moan. I hugged her.

I pulled out to get a pair of pajamas in her closet. I also get a shirt that I can wear.

I dressed her and laid beside her, hugging her from behind until I also fell asleep.

Next day

Jennie's POV

I was woken up because of the sun rays that are coming to my window. My head is aching. I am very clueless to what happened last night but I am pretty sure I'm currently in my apartment because the place is very familiar.

"How did I get here". I asked to myself

"I brought you home, idiot".

Lisa showed up holding a bowl of porridge

"Can you still recall what you've done last night? You're so wasted. Don't do that again. We don't know other people might take advantage of you. Here eat first then drink this so you will feel better".

I extended my arms and welcoming Lisa for a hug and she gave in

"Thank you, hon and I'm sorry. I will be more responsible next time".

I spent the whole morning sleeping while Lisa washed the clothes that I puked with last night.

"Jen, I think it's your phone that is ringing". Lisa shouted from the kitchen

I checked my phone that is placed in my side table and saw that it's Yeji, my sister who's calling me.

" yeoboseyo?" I answered

"What?! Okay, okay calm down. I'll be there. Just relax okay. Unnie will be there". I said as I also panicked. My hangover left my body after hearing the news

"What happened". Lisa from the kitchen went out to check me.

"Mom and Dad had an accident , they're both rush to the hospital".
