Just as you may practice deep breathing when trying to calm yourself down, it's a behavior that tells the body to relax.
Lisa's POV:
Jennie is not on her usual self. Sometimes, I will catch her that she's spacing out. I am always checking on her but she will always say that it's nothing. We're currently in her apartment. I helped her clean and do the laundry and we're resting, cuddling and watching a movie.
Jennie's POV:
It's been 1 week the last time I talked to Deb and yeah, the time is running and now is the 2nd week and I am still undecided. I didn't accept it yet nor didn't decline the offer. Deb reminded me that I need to provide my final decision next week since we still need to book a ticket if ever that I will go with her.
"Hon, is there something that you want to share me I know you have. I've known you for so long so I am fully aware if there's something wrong". Lisa randomly asked me. Oh! Shit! Here we go. I am not prepared. I think I should tell her so I can be at peace.
"Hon, I'm been dying to share you this, but I am still finding a perfect timing". I said to her as I faced her
"What is it?" She said and cupped my face
"My boss offered me an opportunity abroad. I will be promoted to become a manager; the pay is also good and it's a 2 years contract"
"Your boss, Deb? Did you accept it?"
"Hmm not yet. I haven't provided my decision yet. It's tempting. It's a big jump for my career. New learnings and people to meet. Also, I can be able to save to provide my family a good life, save so we could finally get married".
"Do you want it?" Lisa asked and I just nod
"But how about me?" Lisa confusedly asked
"We can still be together, nothing will change". I replied
Lisa stands up and pulled her arms which is hugging me earlier.
"I'm not sure if LDR will work for us, Jen. I'm not really sure. I will be crazy. Look, I promise right, that I will help you with your family and I will fulfill that promise, especially now I'm earning pretty well. I already started saving for our marriage. If you want, we can get married today. Just. just. just please don't go. I will support you always you know that, just please stay with me. I will help you to reached whatever is our dreams, I promised that". Lisa told me with a teary eye
"I won't go". I stand up and give her a warm hugged and she hugged me back
"Just please don't ever leave me, Jen". She spoke
"I will not. I love you, okay?". I told her as a lift up her face so I could she her
And today finally. I am decided. I will not accept that opportunity. But there's a little percent in my heart that I really want to go. But seeing Lisa earlier, I'd rather missed that opportunity.
I immediately texted Deb that I'm declining it.
Lisa and I spend the weekend together. We went to a camping site and made other memories together. I somehow forgot the L.A life that I'm fantasizing.
