"Someone needs to go check on her." JJ muttered as everyone argued.
"What are we supposed to do?" John B asked.
JJ scoffed, "You're kidding, right? She's been vulnerable for weeks, months, whatever. What are we supposed to do?Are you guys not realizing that she either will turn to drugs, or run down the hall to Rafe again?"
"I like option B much better." Rafe stood at the bottom of the stairs, looking up at them, "Carry on your conversation. I'll stay put."
"How much have you heard?" Sarah asked.
He shrugged, "Enough. You five are going to stay put and I'll go check on Iris."
JJ walked down the stairs towards him, "That's not happening."
"Oh, wow. I see the guard dog is up for the challenge." Rafe scoffed, putting his hands up, laughing softly before lowering them, "Have you ever seen Iris in a slump? Do you even know-"
JJ got close to him, "Do I even know? I was by her side throughout her whole hospital stay! I think I know-"
"You don't even fucking know her!" Rafe yelled, pushing JJ away from him.
"Like hell I do!"
"At what point do we stop them?" Pope asked.
"They aren't in a fist fight, so that's a good sign, but I'm sure anytime would be great." Sarah replied.
"If you know her so well, then tell me Maybank, where's her favourite place to be?"
JJ didn't know. He expected Rafe to have some smart ass reply.
"I don't-"
"Oh, wow, he doesn't know." Rafe said sarcastically.
"Either on the window seat in her room or in the middle of the water, stargazing." Sarah spoke up as Rafe smirked, not taking his eyes off JJ.
"Ding ding ding, we have a winner!"
"What the hell does this have to do with anything?"
"Hm, I wonder, I wonder. Well, with her being as upset as I understood she was, she's likely one of those two places."
"Why are you helping us, Rafe?" Sarah asked.
"I'm not, you knew exactly where she would be and you did nothing." Rafe said, turning on his heel, "Best of luck trying to find her now."
"He's going to find her first, isn't he?" JJ asked as soon as Rafe was out of sight.
"Not if we find her first." Sarah replied, quickly getting things together, "We need to get to the Chateau and use that boat. There's no doubt that Rafe will use our seadoo to go out."
"Okay, hurry up." Kie said, slightly stressed.
"Why would he tell us that? And give us that information when you knew it? Why? Is he planning on doing something?" JJ asked.
