*MY TIMELINE IS DIFFERENT THAN THE SHOW FYI!!*
Iris had been hibernating for the last month. Something had changed within her, she didn't know what exactly, but all she wanted to do was curl up in bed or on the couch for all hours of the day.
Summer was her favourite season. Her favourite time of the year.
She loved summer.
So why wasn't she enjoying it?
She was in a funk or something.
Every night she and Rafe had the same conversations. They did the same things day in and day out. Usually she would be fine with this, she enjoyed this type of life, but being here, back on Kildare, she wasn't used to it being this simple here. She was used to nonstop craziness and part of her, as strange as it sounded, part of her missed that.
Sarah and her had been talking regularly, but they hadn't seen each other in weeks. Sarah wanted to stop by today, knowing Rafe was gone, and she was excited to see her so she actually put effort into pulling herself together.
"Snap out of it." She whispered to herself as she looked in the mirror, not recognizing the girl staring back at her. She even looked different. Her face was puffy, her eyes, her lips, everything. It was weird. She'd never felt like this and she hated every second of it. She needed something to change. She needed a change-
Iris snapped out of it at the sound of a knock on the door and she quickly rushed out of the bathroom to answer it.
Sarah was smiling at her on the other side of the door, "Feels kinda weird to knock at a house you once lived at."
Iris smiled back, "I'm so glad you're here."
Sarah pulled her in for a hug, "Me too."
"I've missed you."
"I know. I've missed you too." Sarah replied, "We all have."
"Come in, come sit." Iris shut the door behind her.
Sarah made her way to the couch as Iris trailed behind, eventually sitting beside her.
"What's new with you?" Sarah asked as Iris shifted uncomfortably, "Is everything okay?"
Iris shrugged, "I've kind of been in a funk. I mean, I don't know, I just-" she took a breath, "Rafe and I do the same thing everyday. I do the same thing everyday. I see my parents every so often, they're busy. I barely see you. Tatum's not here, so it's not like I see her. I just, I don't know, I guess I don't really have anything to do so...being alone is getting to me."
"You're not wedding planning? That's coming up soon." Sarah raised her eyebrows.
"I've been doing a bit of that here and there."
