~ The New IT Couple ~

The first day of grade 11, I woke up feeling excited. Me and Troy were planning on going together so I was in a hurry to get ready. I jumped into the shower and did my whole morning routine. I grabbed a violet sundress and put two side braids in my hair. I heard a car honking and ran downstairs. 

"Have a good first day!" Hopper and Joyce yelled. Will was already at school, something to do with A/V club already. I smiled yelling thank you, climbing into Troy's car. I leaned over kissing his cheek. 

"Hello there handsome" I said softly. 

He didn't say anything. 

"So I have advance Math first, but I have a free third period if you wanna meet me by the front?" She continued. 

He rolled his eyes and continued to ignore her the whole time pulling into the parking lot of the school and he parked. 

"Troy is something up?" She whispered. 

Something in him snapped and he grabbed her wrist. Hard. 

"Listen closely. I saw you last night!" He yelled. 

She flinched. She's heard Troy yell but never at her. 

"W--W--What are you talking you?" She winced. 

"I saw you last night! With that fucking nerd!" 

"Troy... " She started but he didn't let her continue. 

"No! I showed up to surprise you and you were climbing into his piece of shit car smiling!" 

"Troy... He offered me a ride home cause it was late, He's Wills best friend he didn't want me to walk alone"

"LISTEN!! I don't care what happened! You are to NOT talk to him, got it?"

"Troy... Nothing happened..." She Whispered. 

"I. DON'T. CARE!" He snapped and she flinched. 

"You are not to talk to the Wheeler kid I don't care. This is what's going to happen. We are going to go into that school and act like we're perfect. You're MY girl. I want that to be known. So clean yourself up and lets go!"

She whimpered as he held tighter on her wrist but nodded. He let go and she wipes away the tears from her eyes that were forming. She took a deep breath before stepping out of the car. 

They both got out and headed into the school. Troy wrapped his arm around her just to prove his point of her being his.

A/V Club

"So um Mike.... Did I see myself correctly the other night?" Dustin broke the silence while they were trying to put together a radio. 

"Hhhm? What did you see?" Mike asked not glancing up.

"I was biking home late from Lucas's after watching a movie, I saw your car drive by. I'm pretty positive I also saw Wills Sister sitting in the passenger seat?" 

"What?!" Will yelled looking up.

"I... Yeah... I stopped by the diner late, she was just getting off, It was dark so I offered a ride." He shrugged. 

Will Nodded. "Yeah well as long you don't go falling i love with my sister" He laughed.

"Yeah right! El and Mike?! The two people that hate each other the most?!" Dustin laughed. 

"Its not my fault she's stuck up" Mike rolled his eyes. 

"She's not stuck up Mike... She just wants to blend in. Hopper told me she was a nerd in her old school and wanted a bunch of friends this time" Will sighed. 

Mike ignored him and continued on the project he was working on.

Advanced English.

"So! Along with all our usual work we will be doing this year, we're going to have a end of year project that is worth half your grade. You're going to be doing it in pair, but pairs that I assign."

El crossed her fingers just praying she wouldn't be stuck with someone that she hated.

"Michael and Eleanor" She yelled out going down the list. 

Mike let out a loud groan.

"I'm sorry Michael. Is that a problem with you?" The teacher asked looking up from the list, and El rolled her eyes. 

"Just don't expect us to get along.." He whispered shaking his head. 

"Alright you can all move and sit next to your partners" She nodded walking back to her desk. 

El made no sudden movements to move so Mike sighed getting up and moving. He slammed his stuff on the desk next to her making her jump as he sat down. 

"Morning sunshine" Mike smirked.

She rolled her eyes looking through her pages. 

"What? Your not still mad at me about the other night are you?" He whispered. 

She shook her head. "Just tired I guess" He nodded and they continued actually agreeing on the topic of their project.  

The bell rang and everyone started packing up. When El looked up she saw Troy standing in the doorway. She took a deep breath walking over. He wrapped his arm around her tightly. 

"What did I say about Wheeler" He growled lowly. 

"We got assigned onto a project together... I--I-- couldn't say no to the teacher"

"Just don't be seen in public with him... it will ruin our imagine" He sighed pulling her to lunch.

Other then the Mike topic everything had been going good between El and Troy. It had been about a month and they hadn't fought about it again. Her and Mikes relationship never changed. They got along enough to try to do the project with a lot of smart ass comments back and forth. 

Troy and El were Hawkins Highs most looked at couple, Him a jock, her a popular girl with a pretty face. 

"Ellie!!! I can't believe how long you and Troy have been dating. Its insane! Before you he use to cheat on his girlfriends all the time" Jennifer commented.

El tensed up thinking back to what Mike had told her. 

"O''O--Ohh... Yeah I mean its great" She smiled. 

"Imagine what would've happened if you sat with that Max girl back in Seventh grade. Eleanor Hopper queen of the nerds" She laughed.

El sighed rolling her eyes trying to ignore the comment. She liked Max when she got the chance to talk to her. But their social circles were different so they didn-t get a lot of chances.
