El was the happiest person in the world today. She had a party to go to tonight and with Michael Wheeler of all people.

"I still can't believe of all people you and Wheeler are together" Max laughed on Els room doing her hair.

El smiled.

"I know.. I wouldn't have expected it either.. but he's truly the sweetest... and a REALLY good kisser"

Max made gagging sounds laughing. "Whatever you say"

El laughed applying the rest of her make up.

She had on a short black dress, her make up done, her blonde hair done up , and her glasses on.

"Wheelers gonna go crazy" Max smiled grabbing Els hand running downstairs.

"Okay were ready losers!" Max yelled smiling as the boys were just about to start the music as a bunch of people from school started to arrive.

Mike smiled walking over to El grabbing her and pulling her close. "Hello Beautiful " He whispered and kissed her.

"Hello nerd" She laughed wrapping her arms around him.

"Finally a party that you won't end up crying and running to my house after" He smiled.

"Hey... if that didn't happen we wouldn't be together "

"Very true.. and now your mine"

El smiled and they stood there kissing eachother forgetting all the people around them.

The night continued and both El and Mike had thier fair share of alachol. El grabbed Mikes hand draggijf him to the dance floor of thier house and wrapped her arms around him.

"You know... even through all our fighting.. i always liked you" She smiled looking up at him.

Mike smiled swaying them to the music.

"Sunshine.. I always thought you were the most beauitful girl... "

El smiled leaning on giving him a slow kiss that then turned into a more passionate kiss. Forgetting everything around them. Running their hands over eachother until they heard a cough and they broke thier kiss looking behind them.

"Awww what's this Wheeler? Nerd couldn't get a girl and settled for my sloppy seconds?" Troy smirked winking at El.

"Troy... go away" El tried staying sternly but a little frightened but she eased up when Mike took her hand in his.

"Don't tell me you enjoy being with this nerd El... he could never please you the way I know how.. he's never even had a girlfriend... "

"Troy!" El yelled.

"Come on baby.. come back to the popular side.. these nerds are no good for you.. don't you remember the good ol' days together. You and me. Making fun of Wheeler and his crew" He smiled looking at Mike.

El could feel Mike's hand losen against hers and she was panicking.

"What was that one thing you said? .. oh right! How Wheeler was such a nerd and wouldn't get a girlfriend unless she was just trying to see what he was like in the bedroom"

El shook her head feeling Mike's hand leave hers.

"Righ El! Look at you go! He should've known better. Your guys little make out party's weren't that secretive, you just wanted to see what a nerd would be like in the sheets that way we could all make fun of them" With that Troy winked at Mike and walked away.

When El spun around she saw Mike backing up.

"Mike..." She sighed.

"This was some cruel joke?" He whispered.

"What?! No of course not!! He's an asshole you know that!"

"I... I just need a minute..." is all Mike said before leaving her alone in the middle of the house.

El spun around finding Will "Help me! Tell Mike I would never say shit like that about him!!"

Will nodded running outside after Mike as El went up to her room slamming the door.

"Mike!" Will yelled slamming the door to the house and then he found him.

"I don't need to hear it Will..."

"You know that's what Troy does Mike, he messes with people.."

"Yeah well... El was popular she probably did say that shit.."

"No! She loves you! She would never... El would never say that stuff about you... wanna know why?"

Mike looked up a few tears escaping his eyes.

"She knew she liked you a while ago... when I found out about your guys' make out sessions I kept my mouth closed around our friends.. but when she knew I knew.. she wouldn't shut up about you... about how much you meant to her... how she was happy that you were finally getting along... that she wanted to know everything about you... she asked me my permission to date you Mike... she's never done that before.. she does what she wants.. but she REALLY wants you..."

Mike sighed looking up at her bedroom window seeing the light on. "Il--I'll be back" He whispered running off into the street.

After about a half hour of crying, El heard a knock at her door. She opened it coming face to face with Mike. She stepped aside letting him in and locking the door behind him.

"You know... When I told Will I didn't want you in the party... in the beginning.. it had nothing to do with you... it was because I didn't like change. Then you came into my life.. personally... we spent one on one time and you completely changed my opinion of you... not only were you only good looks, but you were so smart, caring.. genuine.. of course I don't believe a word that comes out of Troy's mouth but.. I'm me... a giant nerd... and your you... a beautiful girl, your way more the I deserve El... your litterly perfect.. " He whispered.

El sobbed walking towards him "Michael Wheeler... I was the biggest nerd ever... and don't talk like your not attractive... the hair... the eyes... the freckles... I've never been one for muscles" she laughed claiming into his lap "Your all I need..."

Mike smiled running his hands up her and to her face "I love you Sunshine..." He whispered before kissing her.

El smiled kissing him back, but it wasn't like thier normal kissing. This one was more needy. And they both felt it. El starting undoing buttons to mikes button up flannel he was wearing. He started trailing kissing from the corner of her mouth, to her jaw, along her neck.

"Mike..." she breathed.

"Hmmm?" He hummed sucking on her neck.

"Do.... do you have....?" She trailed off witu a light moan

"Yeah.... after our first make out session i just wanted tp be prepared..." he whispered going back to her lips.

She smiled pushing his flannel off and he lifted up her dress.

"God... Sunshine.. you just get more and more perfect..." He whispered before going back to kissing her.

The night continuted. Mike and El exploring eachother. No body questioned where they were. They kept the door locked and enjiyed thier night as one.

The next morning El woke up rwalizing she was sleeping on somekne, she smoled looking up seeing a sleeping naked Mike under her. She smiked playing with his hair watching him breath.

It was then she realized her like was comlplete. Being a nerd is what she was meang to do. Being a berd with Mike Wheeler was what she was destined to do.
