Part 5-Beginning of the End

Caitlyn's statement scared both you and CC, who already knew what this was about.

CC: "Uh Caitlyn, where's your mom?" he says trying to hide his nervousness.

Caitlyn: "It's just me today." she responds.

Caitlyn walks toward you and gets in your face.

Caitlyn: "Come with me." she says with slight anger.

Y/N: "Do I have a choice?" you ask.

Without wasting another second Caitlyn grabs your apron, pulls you over the counter, and onto the floor. You hit the ground hard, and you look up rubbing your head to see Caitlyn looking down at you. She wasn't playing games. You get up and she grabs your wrist tightly and walks you out of the Café and into an alley.

Y/N: "Cait, what's this about?" you say while she's dragging you.

She throws you against the wall and gets back in your face.

Caitlyn: "You know damn well what this is about!" she snaps before taking a step back. "I saw you at the building. You were with those- those thieves!"

Y/N: "What-no. It wasn't like that!"

Caitlyn: "You could've at least stayed and explained what was happening! But you decided to go hang around with those scumbag criminals!"

Y/N: "Caitlyn listen-"

Caitlyn: "Why!? Why did you do it Y/N!?" she demands with tears starting to dwell.

Y/N: "Caitlyn..."

You try to get closer but she backs away.

Caitlyn: "NO! STOP! You can't hug your way out of this one!"

Y/N: "Look, just let me explain!"

Caitlyn slowly becomes quiet and raises an eyebrow expecting a good explanation.

Y/N: "Ok, listen. The people I was with, didn't do anything wrong."

Caitlyn: "Uh-huh! Tell that to Jayce, who got put in jail, and the building that you blew up!"

Y/N: "Listen!" you yell which surprises her. "You want the whole truth?"

Caitlyn: "Of course I do!" she says.

You exhale deeply and sit down, and she does the same.

Y/N: "We were there because they wanted to loot the building. I swear I didn't touch a thing."

She rolls her eyes.

Caitlyn: "Why did they want to loot the building? Why did you join them?"

Y/N: "Because they're from the undercity."

Caitlyn: "The, Undercity?"

Y/N: "Yeah. They wanted to sell what they got after and profit off it."

You then get an idea. You stand up.

Y/N: "People in the Undercity are starving!" you say. Caitlyn is surprised by your sudden outburst. "They suffer down there in the polluted air, dirty water, while the rest of Piltover bats an eye! I'm sorry that they chose one of your buildings! I didn't even know it was yours."

Caitlyn is in shock from how loud and somewhat proud you're being.

Y/N: "Sorry that I can't help but feel pity for those in need-"

Caitlyn: "Oh cut the bullshit!" she somewhat laughs. "I'm studying to become an enforcer, your shock tactics won't fool me."

Y/N: "Really?" you say sheepishly.
