Part 18-She Needs You

Vi chugs the rest of a drink bottle before collapsing down on Loris's leg. 

Vi: "Me. Join the peanut patrol. Ha. And I thought she had no sense of humor. Not to mention little lover goose who's wrapped around her finger. Seems like they'll do anything she asks."

Loris only nods in a drunken response, agreeing that he likes peanuts.

Vi: "Her dad's right. There's no point in sticking around here." she sighs. "Except...I'm the one who created the monster."

Loris: "Is this supposed to be an insightful conversation?"

Vi: "Yeah, it's the best they could do during the writer strikes, so just bear with me, 'kay?" she explains before letting the bottle roll away from her, only to be stopped by a boot.

Woman: "Vi?" she asks.

Vi grunts and sits up, blocking the sun from her face, and is greeted by a sweet-looking ginger in an enforcer outfit and a blue... nonhuman guy also in an enforcer outfit. (I don't know the lore guys I'm sorry.) 

Vi: "Who are you? And how do you know my name?"

The woman then smiles.

Maddie: "Junior Officer Nolen. Maddie." she introduces herself charmingly. "And uh...it's written on your face."

Vi grunts, and suddenly looks over Maddie's shoulder.

Vi: "Wait...Y/N!" she notices, flagging you down.

Flashback

After those visions plagued your mind for a whole 10 minutes, you had another vomit and stood up.

Y/N: "I...I need to go for a walk." you mumbled, your voice reverberating in your head for a bit.

End of Flashback

You walk over, still holding your head from that headache, and Maddie quickly greets you, shaking your hand insistently.

Maddie: "You're Y/N!? My goodness I've heard so many great things about you. You both are something like...legends among the enforcers." she explains.

Y/N: "Pardon?"

Maddie: "It's true. Caitlyn made quite the scene at the station when they tried to deny your enlistment." This made Vi choke on her drink slightly. "Now...I have to ask, is it all true? You all went after Silco when the Council wouldn't back you? Took on his whole gang?" she says with excitement in her eyes.

Y/N: "She...said all that?"

Vi: "There's no way..."

Maddie: "She said if every Enforcer had heart like you two, we could take on Noxus itself." she chuckles shortly after her statement. "Then she threatened to withdraw her family's funding. I'm glad ya'll are joining up." she says, surprising you and Vi.

You both share a look of confusion, but then consideration. Maddie keeps yapping, reaching her hand out to Vi and pulling both of you in with her arms over your shoulders. It was awkward, but at the same time, it's the first in a while that somebody recognized the work you've done and showed appreciation. Suddenly, fanfare sounds started blaring through the horns throughout the city.

Maddie: "Duty calls." she says before leaving with the other enforcer. "A real honor, Vi and Y/N."

Vi only grunts and tries to shake Loris's leg to get him up, but he just keeps sleeping.

Y/N: "Oh yeah...um- Jayce said there'd be a public gathering today near the capitol. Everyone's invited."

Vi: "Oh yeah?"
