Landon POV

Allison started letting me in throughout the days that followed her fathers confession. School became unimportant as I trained her. She was officilally accepted into the Lab and we were supposed to leave for the estate in two days, which didn't give me much time.

We had converted her Alli's large backyard into a sort of warzone. We had cleared it out and pulled up enough grass to have a 10ft pit of dirt to work with. I sat in the center of the pit looking up at the redhead.

"Now breath. You see those clouds up there?"

She sighed "Yeah. I see 'em"

"I want you to close your eyes and focus on the electricity buildin in the sky. Can you feel it?"

"Sorta? I don't know. I know what the magic should feel like, but I don't now if im sensing the right thing."

"I know its confusing, but you need to learn this. It is extremely important." She scowled at my tone and I loosened up. "Come down here" She tripped as she entered the pit and I had to resign from laughing. "Take my hand"

Alli raised her eyebrow at me and Ilet out an exsasperated gasp. "Are you going to question everything I say?" She shook her head no. "Good. Now take my hand"

She placed her small hand in mine allowing me to gain access to her magic.

"Is that you?" She whispered.

"Yeah. Sorry should have warned you."

"Ya think?" She snapped.

"Focus" I lectured. Her bottom lip puffed in a little pout and she looked like a five-year old throwing a temper tantrum. "Can you feel where my magic is bumping into yours?"

"Yeah"

"Follow that" She closed her eyes, finally allowing herself to focus. "Do you feel that buzz in the atmosphere?" Alli nodded slowly and I could feel her examining it. "Use that buzz and mold it into a flash of lightning."

Her freckly face contorted as she tried to force the energy to do her will.

"It doesn't work like that Al. You have to connect with it. The energy wants to listen, you don't have to be so harsh."

"Ok. Let me try again."

After a few seemingly uneventful moments lightning struck the pit where I sat. The loud crash that boomed with it was inseperable from the blinding flash. If I hadn't been holding Allison's hand I would have been fried.

"OhMyGoshLandon! Are you OK?" I felt her fear radiating off of her and it warmed my heart. She was worried about me.

"Im fin Al. Did you see what you just did?"

"It was pretty awesome..." She said with a giggle. a smile broke onto my face and soon we were both laughing.

"I think that's enough for today. How about we get some food?" Right on cue I heard Allison's stomache growl.

"Guess that answers that"
