Chapter 9

Stalkerish? Allison thought I was stalking her. for a second there I had felt genuine fear radiaing off of her. I had to walk away because I couldn't just sit there and not spill. Telling Alli the truth right now would only scare her more. 

I didnt even bother going to History. I neeeded time to think, to breathe, before I saw Allison again. I just hid in the small janitors closet until i Heard the bell ring signaling the start of sixth period. Stepping out of the dark closet, I made my way to Chemistry.

When I walked in the teacher told me not to sit down. Instead she lined the students up adainst the wall. It was then that I noticed that the desks were arranged differently. Instead of groups the desks were in rows of pairs. When the late bell rang Mrs. Hill called the class to attention. 

"Its time for a new seating chart" she told us  with a smile. I listened as she pointed to each desk and called out a name. Even without thinking of her I was very aware of Allison standing on the other side of the room. 

Mrs Hill stood behind one of the desks in the back row. "Alli Ross" she said. Mrs. Hill moved to the desk next to Allison's. It was pure luck that my name was the one she called.

Allison groaned. So maybe it was only good luck for me, but I could live with that. 

I sat in my assigned seat and placed my book on my desk. Allison glared straight forward. Sitting this close I could sense that she was angry, but there was so much more. I felt confusion, guilt, wonder, and even a bit of satisfaction. I had absolutely no idea how someone could experiance more then one feeling at a time. Girls were so confusing.

"Hello Allis- Alli" I whispered. 

She opened her mouth to speak but Mrs. Hill interrupted us. "Ok class we are doing a lab today. Safety materials are etxtremely important for this lab. I mean saftey procedures are alway important, but today especially so."

I felt excitement radiating off of Allison. Nerd I thought to myself, while fighting to keep the smile off of my face.

"You will be working with the person seated next to you." Alli's excitement turned to dread.

I know authors notes are annoying but read it just this once:

Ok. I know that was kind of a wierd place to stop. Sorry 'bout that, but this update is a little early, so thats cool right? So i only have like one constant reader at this point, but i have no idea who it is. I can see the nuber of reads going up but theres no way for me to tell who that reader is. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you- whoever you are- for being absolutely awesome. I hope you enjoy this story<3
