"Darren." Dad's voice called out.
I saw myself, smaller than I remembered, stumbling towards him. In his hands was a small box.
"This is a gift for you and your friends." Dad smiled. "Remember to only give this to people who you trust with your heart."
After opening the box, I smiled in glee at the four crystals within. They were blue, red, green and brown.
"This is cool dad." I smiled and grabbed the box. With my little feet taking off towards the front door.
"Japheth, Chris, Joshua!" I called out.
I gasped and jumped up, another dream that made no sense was in my mind.
"Chanel!" The memories flooded back into my head.
My surroundings were grey, the only light came from behind a set of bars. I saw the policeman in his chair watching his small television with a slight smile on his face. A laugh track echoed from his area, he even joined in after hearing a not so funny joke.
I walked to the bars and placed my hands on it.
"H... Hey!" I called out.The man's head spun and fell on me. He got up and walked towards my holding cell, his hand on his belt making an effort to intimidate me.
"Well Mr. Killer your awake." He smiled a yellowed toothed grin. "You see we found you next to a girl who looks like the ones from that cult murders mumbo jumbo." He peered at me with his grey eyes. "We've been looking for you for a while and trust me when I say the evidence are against you in many ways."
"What about the girl?" I asked, hoping that what I saw was a dream. "Where is Chanel?"
"Well don't act stupid you murderer." The guard got a little closer to the bars. "You know what you did, poor girl was supposed to be in her final years of high school." He tsk. "She wasn't the only life you had taken I had a daughter who you and your gang took away."
"Murderer?!" I shouted. "You've got the wrong guy. This thing came and..." My mouth instantly shut as thoughts of that thing last night made it difficult to explain the scene that happened.
This guy's eyes were now devoid of any feeling, they stared down at me with intense hatred.
"I didn't do it." I tried my best to give some kind of explanation. "This monster came, and it attacked us, my friends saw the whole thing."
"Accomplices." The guard spoke out. "You're a cult you know, friends are everywhere to protect you."
"You're not listening to me!" My body rushed to the bars and my hands enclosed tightly around it. "I know it sounds crazy but the thing that killed her is......"
A pain came to my hands from the guard who used his nightstick on me outside the bars.
"D... Damn it..." I agonized. "What the hell was that for!"
"I suggest calming yourself before you speak to me." The Guard growled. "I am ready to fill you with lead, but this badge of mines is keeping you safe." He pointed at the star on his right shoulder that said Deputy Charles.
Charles returned to his seat and continued his sitcom.
It took me a minute to calm myself after that, I sat in the middle of my cell with throbbing hands, a nasty look was shot at Charles with anger for damaging my hands like that.
A swelling grew within my head it really amp up my anxiety for not knowing where everyone was and what really happened ...
An hour passed until Charles was in my face again.
"Hey, Killer." His eyes narrowed.
"Don't call me that." I growled.
"Someone payed your bail."
