A heaviness took the air, Japheth looked up as the source was from there. He heard Davy speaking with someone, it was a woman her voice was like a thousand chimes melodically enchanting all about.

"Is this all the souls you have?" She asked.

"Yes, Lady Daphne." Davy was using polite speech. "The seas aren't filled with the usual quantity of souls, and I gave you many of the ones on my ship already."

"Not all." Her eyes narrowed.

"I need them to keep the ship in check." Davy explained. "Lord Donavan knows of this."

"Donavan!" Japheth tightened his fist.

"Fine." She sighed. "It seems Zhong has an impressive batch this month. It's only a matter of time when my husband will see your uselessness. I still can't get over the fact you choose honor over Godhood."

Davy didn't respond.

"You humans are strange creatures to me." Daphne created a portal, it's swirling vortex was beckoning her to enter and without delay she did.

"It's always the mistress that's difficult." Davy let out a frustrated sigh. "Damned Gods and their arrogance."

"I see..." Sei pulled at his beard.

We have explained our reason of coming to the Eastern continent to him. After our story he gave us his own, how the land was invaded by a warring nation, how his brother Batuo stopped the invasion single-handedly and how Zhong who is known as a legendary and evil soceror had taken over his brother's body.

"Zhong and my Master Shi Yong have been in battle for a whole day." Sei recalled. "My master is strong, but that demon had the strength of something beyond our mortality. Once Master had been defeated, many of our monks including myself defended ourselves we were no match..."

Sei knew this was no longer Batuo, he can see the evil pouring from his heart; choking his very senses.

"I dreamed of this for a long time." Zhong laughed. "I will finally have my revenge, and to make it even better all I have to do is kill and gather souls for more power!" He extended his arms forward, from the bodies of the many fallen monks came a green substance that Zhong inhaled. "Lord Donavan will enjoy this haul!"

Sei ran to his collapsed master.

"How mortifying..." Shi Yong coughed blood.

"To think Batuo would give his body to Zhong just to spite us." He lifted him. "Master at this rate all of our students will die..."

"Then..." Shi Yong placed his hands together. Golden circles went about the remaining few still alive in an instant they were all taken to another monastery that was empty. "This is Wutang and with my last remaining energy, I shall place a barrier even he can't get past. Forgive me for not being strong enough to protect you..."

Tears began draining downward from Sei's face, as he revised his tale.

"Zhong cannot find this place, no matter how much he searches." Sei explained. "It's holiness is clouded to keep the evil away, only those accepted by the land and it's spirits may come here. And you lot were guided by the very man who brought us here."

"Wow..." My words were all failing me. "Zhong... He's a really dangerous person..."

"No." Sei's denial vibrated through me. "He is not human, I refuse to believe something as vile as he is a human." He took a small cup with tea within and took a sip. "You lot have come here to stop Zhong, I suggest you rethink such a foolish idea."
