Nothingness was before me.
I was able to see myself but nothing else was here.
"Chris, Japheth, Joshua!" I called into the darkness.
No answer returned to me.
"Am I in that place again?"
"Here is a place only meant for us." Malvick's voice echoed about me. "Here is a domain for only users of the night."
Yellow eyes beamed at me from above, they came closer showing me the dark outline of a silhouette the same height as me...
It was...
It was me...
"Surprised boy?" Malvick spoke through it.
"What the hell?!" I growled. "Stop using my face for your games!"
"It's not a game, Darren." Malvick smiled.
The sight of my face being contorted by a grin that wide was... unsettling...
"Why am I here?" I ignored his tactics of disturbing me.
"Why indeed?" He chuckled and disappeared into the ground of blackness. "You see Darren even you felt it when I had control. The taste of absolute power felt amazing didn't it?"
"You made me kill him..." I said in distaste.
"Then he would've killed you, and he isn't dead." Malvick added.
"Donavan is able to give a physical body for those who promise to help him on his journey of human eradication." A whisper came from behind meI spun around quickly to see nothing.
"You see even if you had killed them they would be continuously brought back if he choose it." His voice echoed. "An endless battle will ensue until there is nothing left of you and this world. Donavan's furies will be there to ensure your doom comes, that is why I gave you a helping hand."
From the nothingness came a familiar face, he was begging and pleading. Nothing came out, but muffled grunts thanks to his mouth being sewn together still he smiled.
"This is Christopher's soul." Malvick appeared again next to him. He stretched his hands out and touched Christopher's back. Whatever Malvick did, it caused Christopher to look up and release a muffle scream of euphoria.
"Stop!" I covered my ears. "What are you doing?!"
"Draining him of his essence." Malvick smiled. "Soon he will be nothing just like this place, he will have no heaven or hell when his soul dies. His very existence will end here!"
The stitches over Christopher's mouth tore violently, as his final roar of laughter filled this void.
"Now..." Malvick came closer to me. "You know the power we hold is greater than a god who controls life and death. There will be a time when my power is needed once more and each time you think your in control, my darkness will act as a disease weakening your very soul itself."
I stared mortified at the words he spoke.
"I mean the proof is what you see before you, Darren." Malvick looked at the body he mimicked perfectly. "We are already connected."
"No!" I screamed.
Sweat pooled my body, that and pain from my sudden movement. Contortion tore me apart as the pain switched it's location for a much more critical strike.
"Damn it." I groaned through gritted teeth.
My room's door open and in came Samantha, she looked about the room and then laid eyes on me.
