Two weeks later
"He's really gonna be out of this until next week?" Japheth groaned. "Talk about lucky."
"He's training." Joshua pointed out what Cleondra told them. "He's not lousing around like a certain person."
Japheth sent a glare at Joshua who returned the unpleasant gaze.
"Enough." Chris separated the two. "What's our next mission."
Cleondra looked at the three and answered.
"The Queen of Brigaden has been confirmed to work with Donavan." Cleondra explained. "This isn't some small time you guys can kill in the middle of the woods, if you fail this a war can start that woman may have all of Brigaden in an era of sword and steel but she still holds the power what Donavan gave her."
They grimaced.
"Now for this mission I will let the Beta and Zeta squad leaders join you lot."
Aria and Misery came into the room.
"Nice to see you guys again." Aria came into the room with a big grin. "I heard you were beaten black and blue on your last mission." She was sent into a flurry of laughter.
"Your humor is as dark as ever." Misery frowned.
"What's with her." Chris pointed at Aria who was still on the ground howling with laughter.
"That's just how she is." Cleondra shrugged.
"Where are the rest of your squad?" Joshua asked.
"Most of our members aren't field oriented." Cleondra pointed out. "Some are behind the desk workers or spies, that's how we gather intel so easily. Only two members of Aria squad are going to be in Brigaden awaiting your arrival within a camp and the city. Japheth you'll be participating in the Colosseum of Scyld, Joshua you and Misery will be in charge of finding more about the land and it's monarch. Chris and Aria will be dealing with the beast that have gathered about Brigaden. For some reason creatures have started patrolling the edges of the country. We don't know how long this operation will last, but Darren will be coming back in a month's time. All we ask of you all is to hold on until he comes, based on our knowledge he can truly end the queen and Donavan won't be able to resurrect her soul."
They all nodded in agreement.
"Prepare for your departure to Brigaden." Cleondra announced.
My mind had became blank, I've never reached this deep in the Sin Jayeon Meditation before. As I dived into the depths intertwining myself in this heaviness of my conscious, I noticed the cold feeling returned to me.
"You think you can win with this foolish way of fighting." Malvick chuckled in a sinister way. "Darren, I am the key of winning your battles."
"Yes you are, but I won't over use the darkness again." Confidence motivated my reply. "I refuse to have you take my body like last time. I'll defeat the Queen using Sin Jayeon."
"Then what about the finishing blow?" Malvick laughed.
"I'll use darkness without you." I simply stated.
"Your speaking foolishly."
My concentration was depleting, his pressure was drowning me in this vulnerable state.
"You've been like this for two weeks now." Malvick growled. "Your Sin Jayeon is nothing to the void, always remember that. I will return to blanket this world's light and you will watch as I do so."
Slowly I was able to breath again, Malvick was gone once more.
"Bastard..." I exhaled.
"Are you okay, Brother Darren?" Mike Ol came with a basket of fruits and vegetables.
