Crime and chaos, my old HC super au, gets revamped and rewritten here! New heroes, new villains, new plots, new angst, the usual :) anyways, enjoy!
The city of Hermitra was gloomy, rain creating a pitter patter down Perception Street. A duo walked through the downpour, their mood almost a complete opposite of the depressing roadside. One was ginger with emerald green eyes, wearing a dark green coat over a gray suit and matching pants, a daisy resting in her long hair. The other had light brown hair, wearing a dark teal jacket over a matching - albeit darker - suit and pants, and the one holding a starry umbrella over them. Despite the melancholy spirit the city had, along with it being 4 AM, the two were having a lively conversation, laughing as they arrived at a large, towering building with various antennae and a blue HPR logo near the top.
"I'm just saying you did that, Pearl?" The ginger lowered her voice when they entered the lobby, showing the receptionist a card with the name Gemini Tay. They nodded, letting them into the elevator.
Pearl dropped the umbrella into a nearby container with three other umbrellas, heading into the elevator first. "I mean... yeah. How is that surprising? For your birthday, I made you an accurate model of a whitetail deer fawn for your birthday, Gem! It was... what, 2 feet tall?"
"Yup, around that height. But you made a 3-foot-tall DRAGON!" Gem exclaimed as they reached the second floor. "You carved it out and even painted it!"
"It's just a hobby of mine. What can I say?" Pearl shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal, as if she didn't make wooden models at least twice a week and sold some of her "extras" on Atcy.
The elevator made a muted ding, the duo quickly stopping their chitchat as they entered the news station, greeting their coworkers as they headed for the makeup room, Gem on standby for the weather report and Pearl getting prepared for her general news.

The city of Hermitra was gloomy, a smile on one particular person's face. He had bright yellow hair, ice forming on the tips, and bright red eyes covered by a set of pale blue goggles. His buttoned-up winter coat just barely touched the floor as he stood in front of a large frost-ridden window, his red eyes staring back. At the sound of the door opening, a small, gremlin-like creature made entirely of a dark blue and light blue spotted material entered. The entity waddled up to its boss, saying something in a language that was most definitely not human, made up of gurgles and growls.
"Ah, so they have arrived. Thank you, you're dismissed," With a wave of his skulk-ridden hand, the sculk creature runs off, melting into a portion of skulk to rejoin the parasite that was inhabiting a corner of the abandoned building. He turns towards the staircase, sliding on a pair of long ice blue gloves that, while not covering up the entire skulk on his left hand nor the small ice patches on his right, he made to prevent him from drastically using his powers. It was mainly for meetings such as the one he headed to right now so that he wouldn't attack any of his allies outright. Then he slid on the goggles that rested on his head, ready for the meeting.
The round table was bland, with only four cups of water sitting atop it, but it was its guests that were more important. The three that sat were some of the city's villains: Blackjack, Corpse Dryad, and Lancelot. Blackjack wore a simple yet flashy suit made of kevlar and a poker chip mask. Corpse Dryad had a light gray and blue dress with vines and flowers inter-tangling her hair and arms, a large flower masking the lower half of her face. Last, Lancelot was in a typical suit of armor, except his was covered with an alloy made of titanium.
"Frost Warden! You've kept us waiting for far too long!" Corpse Dryad laughs, her plants a complete opposite of Frost Warden's darkly themed base.
Frost Warden chuckles, taking a seat in the last spot around the table. "You can just call me Frost, Dryad. And sorry for the wait, I was busy upstairs."
"Busy looming above the city in your fancy little room?" Blackjack's comment causes the whole table to laugh, but the humor is gone as quickly as it came.
"Aside from jokes, the reason I've gathered you three, specifically you three, is because I want to... let's say unite the villains." Frost Warden stares at each of the villains in front of him before continuing. "I've called you three because I know that you three have connections throughout the city, Blackjack, especially."
The comment makes Blackjack beam with pride, but Lancelot suspects the ice user's plan. "And why must you need everyone's help? Surely you're powerful on your own, you're one of the hero's top priorities. I don't see why we, let alone I, help you."
"Ah, and that's where you are wrong, sir Lancelot. While yes, I have a mass amount of power, what I lack are the numbers that the heroes have. Sure, I can create minions to help me, but they're as weak as any normal, hirable grunt. I need more than just myself, and I was hoping you'd be interested." His speech slightly encourages the trio, but they don't budge.
"Frost, if I may ask, what do we get out of this arrangement?" Blackjack asks. "All you want to do is take over the city and then some. Will you be able to achieve our goals as well?"
"Of course. I know you're after money, Blackjack, and while I don't know anyone else's motivations, I will be willing to support them. Take this opportunity as an alliance." Frost Warden responds before standing up. "It's okay if you don't want to help, just know that if you act against me, I will see you as another obstacle to overtake. I'll wait until next week for your responses."
Before he can even leave the area of the table, aconites bloom on his left arm. He turns to see Corpse Dryad standing, a thin cloud of pollen surrounding her as the other two villains back up. "I'll help you, Frost."
A smile grows on his face as he glances at Lancelot and Blackjack, expecting a response.
"I'll think about it, don't worry!" Blackjack almost panics, with Lancelot nodding along with him.
"Very well." Frost Warden says as he heads for the stairs. "Dryad, we'll talk about plans next week. If you plan on helping, arrive back here at 1 PM. Bring whoever you'd like as long as they're interested."
The villains disperse, and as he reaches his desk on the next floor, he turns a page in the notebook that rests on the oak. Grabbing a pen, he scribbles some notes down in bright red, grinning almost like a mad man.
"The gears are turning, and soon Hermitra will be mine..."
as Frosty boy said, the gears are turning! character development and just me laying out the scene a bit! you may start guessing who the villains are, along with what roles other hermits might play! I will say, the only features Frost Warden and his non-villain self share are hair and eyes. ;)
edit: fixed a grammar thing because i couldnt stand it :p
