"All that and you didn't kiss her?! What in the bloody hell is wrong with you? Is Severus spiking your Wolfsbane?!"
"It didn't feel like the right moment! Besides, she probably doesn't even like me like that!"
"You caressed each other's scars and held hands in the Forbidden Forrest and she called your scars charming, I know you haven't got that much experience with women, but I know damn well you're not that oblivious."
"Can we just drop it?"
"No! We are not dropping it! If you don't make a move, I'll woo her myself!"
"You better not."
"I will!"
"Uhh, guys?"
Remus and Sirius Black turned their attention to Harry, who was standing in the doorway awkwardly.
"She's here."
Remus and Sirius both scurried out of the room, Remus shoving his friend behind him so he could beat him to Evangeline.
"Don't flirt with her oh so help me Godric," Remus snapped to Sirius.
Sirius chuckled, "Oh dear Moony, I would never steal your girl unless I had a reason."
"She's not my girl," he muttered.
They made their way to the living room of Sirius' home, where Evangeline was standing looking at a very poorly decorated Christmas tree.
"I'm glad you could make it, Evangeline," Remus brightly said.
She turned to him, "I don't think Potter was expecting me when he answered the door."
"I might have forgotten to mention it."
They gave one another a hug before Sirius waltzed into the room, "There's my knight and shining armor," he said with a smile, removing his silver rings before holding his hand out to her, "Sirius Black. I'm forever in your debt."
She took his hand and he brought it to his lips, placing a chaste kiss on her hand. She looked at him with an amused smile, "Evangeline Vandeleur, and no need to thank me."
She looked at Remus, who was shooting daggers at his friend, "Did you tell him about... it?"
He kept his glare on Sirius, "Maybe."
"About what?" Harry asked.
Well, if Harry knew about Remus being a lycanthrope, what would it hurt if he knew she was half?
"The night I killed Fenrir, he scratched me up wickedly. I don't transform, but I do have the characteristics of a lycanthrope."
"Oh."
With that, Harry shrugged it off and walked to the kitchen.
Sirius turned back to Evangeline, "I must say, you are quite the looker in the papers, but you really are quite the beauty in person. Don't you think, Moony?"
"Padfoot..."
"What?" Sirius asking, feigning innocence.
"Stop," he sternly muttered as if Evangeline couldn't hear anything.
She smiled at the banter between the two men. She inhaled deeply, "Something smells good."
"I've gotten pretty good at cooking, if I do say so myself," Sirius proudly said, the dining room is just through that door, take any seat you please."
"We'll be right behind you," Remus said.
Evangeline walked through the door and the two followed behind, Remus flicking Sirius over the head. He winced and glared back at him, "Jealous much?"
