It was the first time in months that Remus got to wake up to Evangeline.

Even after they slept together those weeks ago and when Mary showed up, Evangeline ended up going back to her own home that night. And through them slowly rebuilding their relationship, she never stayed over and Remus felt an ache in his chest when he realized it was probably because she wasn't trying to push him.

She was lying on her left side facing him with a pillow underneath her stomach, looking as blissful as ever.

He placed a warm hand on her bare stomach, heart swelling at the sight.

He really was the luckiest man in the world, a feeling he never thought he'd have.

She stirred lightly and let out a small sigh, "how long have you been watching me?" she rasped out, eyes still shut.

"Not long," he replied, "sleep alright?"

"Mm," she mumbled, "missed sleeping in this bed."

"You can stay every night, if you want."

She slowly opened her eyes, meeting his gaze, "what are you saying?"

"Do you want to... start moving back in? I know we said we'd wait until the baby is here but... I've missed this. Missed us."

"Of course," she said, "I've missed this terribly."

"Though I do ask... just on full Moons, stay at your home. Or Sirius', anywhere but here. I know you don't like it, but just... I can't risk hurting you like that again."

She traced a finger over the scar on his face, "okay." He leant forward and kissed her lips gently, "does this mean we're back together again?" she asked, her voice tired but full of hope.

"Only if you want to."

"You know I want to."

"Then I suppose that's a yes."

She gave him a large and sleepy grin, kissing his lips once more with more firmness.

"Moony? Where the fuck are you?!"

Remus shot up from the bed and quickly pulled the covers over Evangeline as Sirius sauntered into his bedroom. His eyes widened and Remus gave him a deathly glare.

"Oh," he said, halting when he saw the two in bed, "am I intruding?"

"Yes," Remus snapped, "what the hell? I didn't even hear you come in!"

"Did you give Sirius a key?!" Evangeline asked.

"Yes, he did," Sirius answered for Remus.

"What do you want?"

"Harry comes home today..." Sirius said, walking out of the bedroom but keeping his voice loud enough so they could hear, "you said you'd come with me to pick him up from the train station but it looks like you're rather preoccupied."

Remus ran a hand down his face, giving Evangeline an apologetic smile. She sat up and rested her back against the headboard, "might want to get dressed," she said.

"Want to tag along? I'm sure Harry would love to see you."

"I need a shower."

"No rush!" Sirius said from the kitchen.

After Remus made sure Evangeline was okay in the shower, he stomped out of the bedroom and glared at his best friend.

Sirius nonchalantly leaned up against the kitchen counter, purposefully slurping his tea.
