"Y/n, what exactly are we?" Conrad asked once they made it half up the hill.
"Is it really the time to talk about this?" she asked, panting slightly. "Probably not. But if I die, I want to know what exactly I'm leaving behind." Conrad explained, turning to the younger woman.
"You're not gonna die, silly." she said, walking up to him. "Still. What are we?" he urged, looking down at her. "Well, I think it's safe to say that we both like each other, right?" she asked.
"Yes, I do like you." he said, nodding his head. She put her arms around his waist, standing on her tippy toes as his hands went to her hips. "And people who like each other tend to date each other." she concluded with a smile.
"You're saying you want to be my girlfriend, officially?" he asked, a small smirk on his lips. "Shut up and kiss me, love." she said before his lips found hers.
Their lips moved in sync before they pulled away when they heard a roar in the distance. "C'mon, darling, we should get moving." he said, helping her climbing up higher.
Once they reached the highest point, they looked over the foggy horizon, the river slightly visible. "The boat must be around that bend." Conrad stated, looking at the river.
Suddenly, a huge shadow appeared right in front of them, making them take a step back. Conrad put his hand around his girlfriend's waist, pulling her close.
Kong walked up to them with suspiciousness. Y/n walked forward, putting her hand on Kong's nose and patting it lightly. She started laughing once he didn't pull away.
Looking at his girlfriend, he realized he had lied to her. He didn't like her. Seeing her with the big creature that Packard claimed as their enemy, he realized he loved her.
Suddenly, the huge creature started roaring as explosions went off in the distance, y/n stepping away from the edge of the cliff. "We have to go. Now." Conrad demanded as he pulled his girlfriend along.
Reaching the clearing where the group of civilians waited, Brooks pointed his gun at Conrad and the older Slivko. "Don't shoot!" Conrad exclaimed, making Brooks lower his weapon.
"Conrad, which way are we going?" he asked, turning to the tracker. "You four need to go back to the boat. It's that way." he started, pointing in the direction of the boat.
"Wait for us 'till dawn. If we're not back by then, just go." he continued. "You ain't gotta twist my arm." Brooks scoffed, grabbing his back and turning around to leave.
"Where are you two going?" Marlow asked, looking between Conrad and Y/n. The tracker looked at his girlfriend who nodded at him. "We're going to save Kong." he said, turning back to Marlow.
"Not without me, pal."
