Running through the jungle, they reached the clearing where Packard, as well as the soldiers were, Kong laying on the ground, unconscious.

"Packard!" Y/n exlcaimed, interrupting the man who was about so set off another set of explosions. Conrad pointed his gun at the Colonel, Y/n doing the same with a gun she had gotten from Marlow.

The soldiers raised their guns and pointed at Conrad and his girlfriend. Y/n looked at her brother, then her two best friends who looked at her with teary eyes and shaky hands.

"Don't do it." Conrad continued, just as Marlow came up behind Slivko and Reles. "I asked you fellas nice the first time." he said, pointing a gun at Slivko while his katana was pointed at Reles' neck.

"We don't wanna fight here, Packard." Conrad started, only to be interrupted by the Colonel. "This thing brought us down! It killed my men!" Packard screamed.

"Kong was just defending his territory." Conrad argued, softly. "We are soldiers! We do the dirty work, so our families and our countrymen don't have to be afraid! They shouldn't even know a thing like this exists!" the Colonel screamed, pointing at Kong.

"You've lost your mind. Put that detonator down." Conrad said, pointing his gun at the device in Packard's hands. The colonel walked up to the tracker, readying it.

He was about to active the bombs, only to be interrupted by Y/n. "Stop! The world is bigger than this." she said with teary eyes, the Colonel's gaze on her.

"Bitch, please! Slivko, get your sister out of there!" the Colonel ordered, the younger brother looking at his sister. "You know it's the wrong thing do to, son." Marlow tried to convince Slivko.

He sniffled slightly before turning to Packard, pointing his gun at the Colonel. "You don't get to talk to my sister like that. Put it down, sir." Slivko spoke.

Packard went to grab a gun that was hidden inside his jacket, only to be interrupted by Conrad. "Packard! Come on, it's over." he said as the other soldiers lowered their weapons.

Suddenly, the water inside the lake started bubbling heavily, before a huge skull crawler appeared. "That's the big one." Marlow said, shock evident on his face.

"Fall back. Go!" Conrad ordered, the soldiers along with Marlow leaving. "Colonel. Sir!" the tracker tried to reason with the man, but the latter seemed to be in a daze.

Frustrated, Conrad grabbed his girlfriend's hand before pulling her away. "Kong's down! Let's go!" he spoke before they reached a clearing with the soldiers.

"This is the edge of the island." Conrad stated, looking at all the ship wreaks in front of them. "Someone needs to get up on those rocks and fire a flare." he said to no one in particular.

"I'll do it." the older Slivko spoke, turning to her boyfriend. "No." the tracker said, looking at her. "James, I'll be fine." she assured, using his first name for the first time.

She kissed him before grabbing the flare gun, climbing up the hill. The men ran off, walking through the lake, Cole trailing behind. "Come on. Every second counts." Conrad said.

Mills looked back at Cole, seeing him a few feet away from them. "Cole. Come on, man, we gotta fall back." Mills said to his older friend, the others turning around as well.

"Go live your life. Get out of here." Cole spoke, smiling slightly at his friend before turning around. He'd let go of his gun, taking bombs from his jacket and pulling the pin.

The soldiers screamed at him, trying to reach him, only to be pulled back by Conrad. He walked up to the skull crawler, mumbling "Come on. Come on, you son of a bitch.".

The skull crawler screeched before tossing Cole away with its tail, throwing him against a cliff as the explosions went off. Y/n, seeing this, fell to her knees, sobbing for the loss of her friend.

She was determined to kill the creature, ready to avenge her friend's life. She held up her arm, sending a flare into the sky as the men ran away.

The skull crawler almost reached them, just as Kong arrived to attack it. The two of them fought, tossing each other around and smashing each other's bodies against cliffs.

Kong was thrown into a ship wreak and got stuck in big anchor chains. The skull crawler was about to attack, only to be attacked by Brooks who had arrived with the ship.

The men ran to the boat, climbing on it just as the machine gun stopped working. "Marlow, a little help here!" Brooks screamed at the older man who shoved him aside.

"I got it. She's temperamental. Watch out!" Marlow spoke. Kong got up from the ground and attacked the creature with a propeller that was attached to a chain.

Just as the skull crawler was about to attack the boat, Y/n shot a flare into its eye, disorientating it. Marlow got the machine gun to work again, right before Conrad got off the boat and ran through the lake to distract the creature.

Kong threw the skull crawler against the cliff Y/n was standing on, causing her to fall off the cliff and crash into the water, making her go unconscious.

"Y/n!" Conrad called out, scared his girlfriend might die. After a few minutes, Kong slit open the skull crawler's throat and went to pull Y/n from the river.

Just as she was in his hand, the creature attacked again. Kong managed to pull out its guts since the skull crawler had swallowed his hand. He opened his hand, seeing Y/n was still alive and set her on the ground.

Conrad ran up to his girlfriend, who was still unconscious. "Y/n? Hey, hey, hey, hey. You're okay." he said as she sat up, coughing water from her lungs.

He kissed her, pulling her closer by her waist. When they pulled away, she looked at Kong, who looked back at her before walking away. Conrad helped Y/n up to her feet, bringing her to the boat.

Slivko pulled her in a hug as soon as she stepped foot on the boat, as well as Mills and Mason. She shed a few tears for Cole, remembering his noble gesture.

Shipping over the lake, Conrad sat next to his girlfriend, across from Mason. "This place will change. Word will get out. It always does." he said, gaining the women's attention.

"Well, it's not coming from us." Mason stated, smiling slightly at the couple. Conrad pulled his girlfriend closer, kissing her temple. Meanwhile, Marlow looked at a picture of his wife, humming a song.

Soon, they saw the helicopters approaching, relief washing over them. "What will happen from now on?" Y/n asked Conrad. "Let's see. But I can guarantee you, I won't leave."
