Adora's POV

Me, Glimmer, and Bow sneak carefully along the cliff side of a Horde base.

"Okay. We need to find a way to reclaim the Horde-occupied fortress for the Rebellion. So, how are we gonna do this?" I say.

"I'll teleport ahead to scout a path through their defenses." Glimmer says.

"And I'll quietly shoot the closes turrets with my trick arrows." Bow adds.

"You'll have the advantage in a sneak attack. Go!" I order.

Glimmer teleports in and takes out a guard while I do the same on the opposite side of the path. Bow stands on top of a turret and takes out two guards with his goo arrow.

"Yes! And now..."Bow cheers but a turret shoots him and he falls down the cliff.

Glimmer starts crying while I stand looking down where Bow fell.

"He's dead." I whispers sadly.

Bow figure falls onto the map where the river is.

"Oh, what? Tiny Bow, you will be avenged!" Bow whimpers. His head then falls onto the table as he cries.

"That clearly isn't gonna work. Let's try this again." I say picking up my figure and placing it onto the map.

"I shouldn't be dead. That turret came out of nowhere." Bow whines.

"That's because you failed to make a successful observation check. If we're going to retake the pass, we have to be prepared for anything." Glimmer tells him.

"The pass is the only way in or out of this region. According to the reports, the Horde seized it while we were busy defending Bright Moon. So it's crucial we get it back."  I explain.

"Why does that mean I have to die? And after I made these for you!" Bow asks.

"Look. Our plans always fall apart. Always! It's be impressive if not terrifying." I say.

"We've gotten good at improvising, though." Glimmer points out.

"If we're gonna pull this off, we need to come up with a plan that won't fall apart, and a plan that takes into account everything the Horde could throw at us, including surprise attacks." I tell them.

"Okay, but you're breaking Tiny Bow's heart. I mean, look at his face." Bow says.

"He's smiling." Glimmer says.

"Through his pain, Glimmer. Through his pain." Bow says.

I stand up.

"Guys, this pass is important. The Horde won't give it up without a fight. It's obviously gonna be guarded by their very best and brightest." I say a little annoyed that they aren't taking it as seriously as me.

I look down sadly at Ella's figure and sit back down.

"Shouldn't Ella be helping us out?" Bow asks.

"I told her to rest while we come up with the plan. She hasn't been sleeping well, and with Jackson at guard training we need her at 100%." Glimmer tells him.

"Clearly that last plan won't work. So maybe if we try sneaking past the turrets from a different side..." I start but Glimmer interrupts and takes my paper.

"You're going about this wrong. We're not going to win by sneaking. We gotta take action to them." Glimmer says.

Glimmer's plan

"Just let Glimmer handle this." She chuckles.

"Using my awesome powers of teleportation, I take out their first line of defense." Glimmer says making explosion sounds and knocking over the turret figures.
