The Coronation

"You're a very brave young women. Keep your fighting spirit up. I have loved watching you grow into the person you have become and I know you'll continue to grow. Protect Glimmer for me." Angella's voice echos.

I shoot up into a sitting position. My body is sweaty and my eyes are wide open. I take heavy breaths and try to calm down. Adora stirs next to me and she grabs my hand.

"Another nightmare?" She asks.

I nod my head and lay back down. Her hand is now placed on my chest.

"Your heart is racing. Can I do anything to help?" She asks.

"You already are." I say with a smile.

She smiles and closes her eyes to go back to sleep. I release a big breath and stare at the ceiling, knowing I won't be getting anymore sleep.

*The Next Morning - Glimmer's Coronation*

Casta has had me running around doing errands all morning. I don't think I've even sat down in the past 5 hours. But there's no rest for me, I've got a Coronation to make perfect.

*With Glimmer, Jackson, Bow, and Adora*

"People are starting to arrive. I can't believe this is really my coronation day. Me.... Queen Glimmer. Ugh. It sounds so weird." Glimmer says.

"Queen Glimmer." Bow says thinking.

"Queen. Glimmer." Jackson tries.

"Queen Glimmer!" Bow and Jackson shout together.

"Yeah that's going to take some getting used to." Bow says.

"I just... never thought it would actually happen." Glimmer says sadly.

"Hey, don't worry! You've got me, Bow, Ella, and Jackson beside you all the way. We'll make sure this day is perfect." Adora says glancing back at the boys.

"Yeah, you're right. We've got this. Do I look okay?" Glimmer asks facing them.

"Like a queen." Adora says.

"Here you all are! What are you standing around for? Ella and I have been running around all morning preparing. The guests are starting to arrive. Come on! There's still so much to do." Aunt Casta says dragging Glimmer out of the room.

She pokes her head back in with a 'help me' face and waves bye to the group. Aunt Casta ends up pulling her away.

"I'm worried about Glimmer." Adora says.

"Must be hard celebrating with Angella being gone." Bow says.

"This is her coronation. This should be a perfect day for Glimmer. And we're gonna make it perfect. All we have to do is keep her mind off..." Adora says.

"Angella?" Bow interrupts.

"Off everything, yes. Now come on!" Adora says grabbing the boys hands and dragging them out.

Adora, Bow, and Jackson eventually catch up with Glimmer and Casta to find Ella there as well.

Ella's POV
"So, the ceremony begins with the Ritual Quest, followed by your first speech as queen, and most importantly, the whole thing ends with a Grand Ball!" Casta explains.
