Not Enough Time

"There's not enough time." I breath out exhaustedly.

From where I'm leaning I punch the wall tiredly. Sweat dripping from my head. I walk forward to Adora and place my hands on her shoulder. She gasps awake and looks around.

"Ella? Are you ok? What's happening?" She says panicked.

"You're moving at super speed with me. I stopped time. Just like in the cave when I caught you." I explain trying to calm her down.

"Why? Did we...." She starts to say but looks behind me.

A huge robot behind us is in the process of slowly exploding.

"I can't. I.... I can't." I say.

"What?" She asks.

"I can't save us." I say sadly.

*That morning*

My eyes shoot open and gasp. I turn my head to the side to see Adora awake next to me. My glance softens in relief. Her hand is placed over my heart and her head is on my shoulder.

"Morning, Sleepy." She says with a smile.

"Morning, Blondie." I say smiling back.

"How'd you sleep?" She asks.

"Better." I say.

The door bursts open and Bow charges in.

"We got to go!" Bow says urgently.

"What's wrong?" I say getting out of bed fast.

"Scouts spotted a new bot in the forest." Bow explains.

"Where's Glimmer?" Adora asks.

"She has Queen duties. And Jackson has training and a shift soon." Bow tells us.

Bow exits the room. Adora and I get changed and make our way to the stable.

We all take Swift Wind. Volt follows along below us. We make it to the robot and we dismount Swift Wind.

"Volt, go patrol. Look for soldiers. Swift Wind patrol from above quietly." I whisper to them.

They nod and carry out the orders. Bow, Adora, and I look forward at the bot.

"How do we want to do this?" Bow asks.

"I've got this." Adora says transforming into She-Ra quietly.

She starts to walk forward and as she inches closer she steps on a branch. My heart drops and Bow gasps. When nothing happens we all release a breath.

"It seems like a dud." She says after she has returned.

"This is perfect we can take it back to Bright Moon." Bow says excitedly.

"And how are we gonna do that?" I say giving him a look.

He gets a thinking face before a huge grin comes onto his face.

"When you said you had an idea I didn't think this was it." I say tiredly.

One day in Bow's lab he was fooling around and we discovered that my force fields could be bubbles and could hold things. So Bow's brilliant idea is to have me do that with the bot on Swift Wind.

"Swift Wind you sure you're ok?" Adora asks.

"I'm a-ok." He says.

We've been flying for a couple of minutes and I'm starting to get tired.
