The Valley of the Lost

*Later that night*
Adora's POV
I stir awake upon hearing groaning and stirring. I sit up and look towards Ella. Her eyes fly open and she gasps for air. She looks around frantically so I grab the sides I her face and rub my thumb on her cheek.

"Hey, hey, shhh. It's ok. Look at me." I say calmly.

She looks at me quickly before moving the covers and lifting her shirt. It reveals some burns and really bad bruising. She lays her head back and groans through her teeth.

"Ella? Hey, I'm here. What do you need? Do you want me to call the doctor? Ella?" I say shaking her good shoulder.

I see her eyes flutter shut and her face grow calm again. She must have passed out from the pain.

I get up and get the doctor. She walks in and examines the burns. She feels Ella's head and tells me she seems to have a fever. She runs to get some stuff to treat the burns and wraps stuff around it and her ribs. She gently lays a towel on top of Ella's head and smile at me sympathetically.

"You should get some rest." The doctor says to me.

"I'm ok. I want to stay here with her if that's alright." I say back.

The doctor nods and hands me a button.

"If she wakes up again, hit this and it will buzz me in." I nod as she walks out.

I look back down at her and tears start to brim in my eyes. I see Volt's head perk up and he moves towards me. He places his head on my knee. I let the tears stream and I place my forehead on his. We together worry for the health of our person.

*The next morning*
I stir awake and look up towards El. There was pain written all over her face even though she was unconscious.

I plead softly to her "please wake up. I need you."

I turn upon hearing the door creak open. It's Glimmer. She looks terrified and worried. She slowly walks over to Ella's bed and she looks at me.

"How is she?" She says in a tight voice.

I can tell by her tone she is holding in tears.

"She woke up abruptly last night and she has a fever. The doctor wrapped her up to help with the burns and bruising. She said she should be fine but she hasn't woken up since." I explain.

Glimmer nods and I stand up. I hug her and she becomes ridged. I slowly feel her melt into the hug and her body starts to shake.

"It's ok, Glimmer. She's going to be ok. She has to be." I say looking back at El.

*That afternoon*

"So, where's Glimmer again? Didn't she call us here?" I say.

The four of us. Jackson, Bow, Huntara, and I are all gathered in the meeting room.

"Uh, I'm sure she'll be here soon." He says.

One second later she teleports between us. Bow and I shout at the surprise.

"You're all here. Good. Just one second." Glimmer says before she teleports away.

"Glimmer..." I start to say.

"Oh, I see. She's really taking this queen stuff seriously." Huntara retorts.

Glimmer teleports back in and has Mermista with her.

"As part of my new anti-Horde strategy, I'm sending you, Bow and Huntara on a mission to retrieve Mara's ship from the Crimson Waste. Then, Bow will repair it and then we'll have a spaceship. Take that, Horde." Glimmer says punching her fists infront of her.
