Hello ladies and gentlemen... I present you the next chapter.

I sat right in front of Matteo in his office. After the guards dragged a screaming Mason out of the underground, Matteo was ready for us to have our talk. Matteo thinks that if I tell him what I've been through the past ten years then there is an possibility that we may be able to help Dante and take Russo down.

I began the story all the way at the beginning starting from the wreck, to being kidnapped at the age of nine, to me staying with two of Russo's associates who faked being my aunt and uncle to me being kidnapped once again by Dante.

I explained about learning from Dante about my parents double life and how he has done everything in his power to protect me. I even told them about the whole hotel incident and how I jumped out of a window in order to escape death.

It led me to telling him about me staying at Dante's house for a couple of days and the death of Mordecai and Russo sending his head as a threat. I then ended it on how I met Hector at the house and him taking me to Matteo.

After I finished my story, the whole office was quiet. I looked over at Matteo to see that he was rubbing his hand against his forehead as he looked like he knew this situation was going to became a bigger problem than he anticipated.

"So Mordecai is dead?" He said in a sad voice. I just slowly nod my head.

He rubbed his chin before letting out a sigh.

"With Dante being in the Russo's sights, it won't be long until I will have to step in. As of right now, without knowing what Russo really wants, Dante is on the losing side. So that's where we need to start first is to know what it is that Russo wants." Matteo said. I nodded my head.

I watched as his fingers started thumping on his desk. He had leaned his head back and his eyes were closed. I couldn't help but slightly smile because I remember when my father used to to that. He told me it helps in concentrate and come up with his next big step. I didn't understand what he meant back then, but now I do.

"Well, before I left I know that one of Dante's men brought up the fact about father's pendent." Hearing me say that, the drumming came to a stop. He slowly lifted his head up and opened his eyes. His eyebrow were furrowed as he looked down at the pendent that was hanging from his neck.

I looked down at it myself and just stared at it. The pendent was beautifully craved into a bear and it hung low from his neck down to his chest.

"Answer me this, was his pendent ever brought up to you when you were staying with the Russians?" Matteo asked.

I couldn't help but think about it. It never crossed my mind but...

"Now that I think about it, I do remember them asking about a necklace with the head of a lion," I said. "I never understood why they would ask me about father's necklace, but they told me that it was very important to them. Come to think about it, they asked me every year about it and would get mad when I told them I haven't seen it."

Matteo just nodded his head before getting up from his desk and walking over to a black cabinet. He pulled out the third drawer before reaching inside of it. He pulled out a small silver chest.

I noticed the small smile that popped up on his lips. He brought the chest back over to the desk where he placed down before sliding it towards me. I looked up at me only for him to give me a nod. I leaned over and pressed my thumbs on both of the locks and watched as the lid popped open.
