Chapter Twenty~Four

Dante King...

"So, everything is in order. You have paid your full payment and the construction has already begun." I sat back in my seat as I was listening to the report that Veronica was giving me.

"You have a meeting with Mr. Nicholas and the board in a half an hour..."

Yesterday I had a few calls that I missed but it wasn't a big problem because Veronica was able to handle them and have them sent to me last night.

Out of everyone who works in this building, Veronica is the only one I trust.

"So, Mr. Hunter has called and he would like to have a meeting with you this Friday so he can talk to you about bringing in more clients for the financial board.

Then Mr. Winston would like to have a meeting with you. He's throwing a little celebration for you and your new business." I instantly roll my eyes at that statement. Of course he would throw a celebration for me. He always do that when someone is using his company.

"Thank you Veronica, that will be all for now." I said waving her off. She nodded her head and started walking towards the door when it was thrown wide open.

What the hell?

"Honey, I'm home!" I rolled my eyes as the voice had made their appearance.

"Seth, between you and Bambi I'm going to need the security guards to escort you in and out of my building just so I will know that y'all are behaving." I said as I rubbed my temples.

"Well, you know how I do." He gave me a wink before looking over at Veronica. Oh Lord, here we go.

"Well, hello my beautiful chocolate queen." Seth said as he slowly walked up to Veronica. Even though Veronica is Africa American, you can tell when she's blushing. The top of her ears start to turn pink and so does the tip of her nose.

Unlike Reigny who's cheeks will turn a bright red. I find it highly adorable on her.

"So, how are you doing beautiful?" Seth said to Veronica. He grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips. She playfully rolled her eyes before shaking her head.

"Let me know if you need anything Mr. King." I just nodded my head at her. She then looked over at Seth and just giggled.

"Bye Seth." With that she walked out of my office. Seth just looked over at me with a smirk on his face. "She totally wants me." He said as he started walking up to my desk.

Seth has always had a tiny crush on Veronica ever since he met her at a little get together that I had. He tried hitting on her but once he found out that she had a fiance, he was crushed but instantly got over it. Now, every time he sees her, he would just playfully flirt with her.

I just find it weird that he is flirting with my personal assistant. I was even worried when he flirted with her in front of her fiance but shockingly, he just laughed and told Seth he was going down the right road. He even used the saying, 'once you go black, you never go back.'

"Here you go, here are the papers that you need for your little meeting today." He said as he handed me the folder. I looked through it and saw that everything that I need was in there. I looked back up and saw that he had a bag in his hands from my favorite cafe.

"And because I am your favorite, I even stopped by your favorite cafe and got you two banana nut muffins." He gave me the bag making me smile at him. "Thank you Seth." I said as I took one of the muffins out of the bag and just smiled. I'm glad he bought this for me because I haven't eaten anything all day.
