Hiding with Seeley on the brink of getting caught both terrified and thrilled me. Throughout the following week, we almost got caught a few times, but somehow, we always managed to escape. Once, Emilia asked why I was spending time in Seeley's room, and in a panic, I started ranting about his clothes being scattered everywhere and not helping with chores, which was why I had to confront him. Luckily, Emilia had similar frustrations and mentioned that Casen was just as problematic and lazy. So we spent the next thirty minutes ranting about the boys.

The second time was more embarrassing since it was out in public. Seeley decided to give me a ride, and when we got to the hotel, we still had half an hour before my shift started. He was kissing me, telling me how much he'd miss my touch, and I just happened to be pulled over the console into his lap. And since I wore a dress, we easily got to business in the parking lot. Whenever I saw someone walking in the distance, I'd jolt up, but Seeley would reassure me and distract me with his body right away.

I couldn't believe we had been secretly going around for a while now. My overwhelmed brain wanted to gossip with someone, but Emilia seemed the best option. However, I didn't want to risk her accidentally letting it slip out. Seeley and I agreed that we wouldn't tell anyone.

Truth be told, whenever I listened to either Emilia or Leigh admitting that they had had sex with their boyfriends in public places, I'd always shake my head at them in disbelief. Back then, I couldn't imagine how they could do that so shamelessly. Now, I understood their thrill about the risk of being caught.

In the changing room, holding my uniform, Marina left the bathroom and tossed her bag into her locker.

"I'm so proud of you, girl." I stood frozen, casting her a sidelong glance. It was eight in the morning, and we hadn't exchanged a word yet. What was she talking about?

"Is it because I'm not late?"

Marina leaned casually against her locker. "No, it's about taking the opportunity and having fun with that boy. You deserve it."

My face went pale, and all colors drained away. When I carefully turned back to Marina, she smiled smugly. She couldn't be talking about Seeley, right? There was no way she knew about us. There were some close calls, but we always managed to keep our heads down for good.

"You mean...?"

"Seeley, of course." She kept smiling like she enjoyed my blunt awkwardness. I bit my lower lip and glanced around, trying to come up with a lie, but my brain shut down.

I felt anxious that she'd found out or somehow seen us, but part of me was relieved it wasn't Leigh. She would have freaked out. I was sure she'd give me a whole speech about how I was ruining our friendship and only thinking about myself.

I sighed. There was no way I'd come up with a lie that Marina would believe. She was older and more experienced, and once, she was also a teenager. There was no point in lying and denying.

"How long have you known?" I asked softly.

"Since your birthday," she said, and my eyes widened. Our secret with Seeley wasn't as much of a secret as we thought. Maybe having sex in the bathroom while other people were in the house wasn't the best idea, but alcohol never led to responsible decisions.

"Why didn't you say anything then?" I asked.

She shrugged and licked her lips.

"Why would I?" she asked without answering. "I saw you both sneaking into the bathroom and judging by the horny looks on your faces; I put the pieces together. I'm not that old and blind, sweetie."

I rubbed my face in frustration. I didn't know how I felt about Marina knowing the secret I was supposed to keep to myself until the summer ended.

"So, are you two a couple doing couple things, or are you just showing off your knowledge of the human body to each other?" she teased.
