What is the most important part of a novel?
The cover? The synopsis? The title?
The plot.
Before attempting to attract readers, one must write the content which will attract them.

And how, you may ask, may one find an authentic, interesting, non-cliché plot?

Instead of sitting at a desk, frustratingly searching one's brain for ideas, I find it is easier to simply let the ideas come.
You can find ideas by observing how other humans interact with one another.

For example: one fair day, a few months ago, I went to a concert. The singer was a famous, American jazz singer, and, to her right, I noticed a backstage helper observing her. His eyes seemed to glow due to the lights in the dark room. When the singer started talking about her boyfriend, the man left.
It was a complete and utter coincidence, and yet, BOOM, I got an idea for a story.

I have countless rough plot outlines jotted down in my notebook-all from events like these from my normal life.
That is why I suggest bringing a notebook everywhere you go-you never know what brilliant, never-seen-before book idea will come to you.
