After that day, Y/N became reckless, taking on commissions that would need many men to complete, by herself.

She stopped paying the rent for the restaurant and decided to move into a small apartment, with a manageable rent fee. When she woke from her blow to the head, she nearly passed out again.

Both of their limp bodies were there, lying in a pool of blood, the stench of iron filled the air. From that day on Y/N told herself she would take even more difficult commissions in order to improve her combat skills.

She was waiting for the day to come when she saw him again. This time, things would be different, he'd get what he deserved. Y/N would make sure of it.

The girl let out a whine of pain as she got up off the ground, she was currently trying to retrieve some items that a Fatui agent had stole from a merchant in Liyue. The fight was not going so well, this was Y/N's fourth and final commission of the day, her whole body was in agony.

Bruises littered her arms and torso, there was a deep gash in her leg from where a Mitachurl managed to hit her earlier and there was now burn marks on her arms from the agent she was fighting.

"If you give up now, I'll kill you quickly." The agent sneered.

Y/N scoffed, "Stop running your mouth you cocky prick."

Using all the energy she had left, Y/N used her vision. She had developed a new attack that created a whirlwind and trapped people inside, sharp punches of air dealing the damage inside the whirlwind.

The Fatui agent flopped onto the ground a couple of meters away, he was out cold.

Y/N limped over and tied him up with some rope, also taking his Pyro vision. Then she found the nearest wall and slid down it, sitting on the grass. She knew her body was at its limit and that it needed rest, but the wilderness in Liyue wasn't exactly an ideal resting place.

Despite the dangers Y/N decided to set up camp for the night, by camp she meant laying down a rag for her to sleep on. The girl checked on the agent to see if he was still knocked out before she went to sleep.

Fortunately for her, the agent was still unconscious, and it didn't look like he was waking up any time soon.

She lay down on the rag and looked up at the stars, then she closed her eyes.

Mere seconds later she sensed someone else's presence.

Y/N's eyes popped open at the sound of a horribly familiar chuckle. The same chuckle was ringing in her head.

It was him.

Y/N's exhausted body shot up, coming face to face with the Harbinger.

He looked just like she remembered him. Over six foot tall, vibrant ginger hair that seemed oh so familiar but she couldn't quite place it and the Fatui mask

"Woah there girlie, you might wanna take it easy, you're at your limit. Wouldn't wanna get seriously injured now would you?" He began playfully

The man looked down at the agent lying at his feet.

"You've drastically improved in combat since last our paths crossed girlie. You took down one of my best men, and you were clearly already injured too. I'm impressed, I must say, you've come a long way from the weak girl a met months ago."

Y/N felt her eye twitch, if looks could kill, Tartaglia would be six feet under, ten times over.

The man was observing her, it was blatantly obvious that she was past her limit, the deep eye bags and injuries all over her body, told the Harbinger that she was over working herself.

'Still willing to fight, even when facing certain failure.'

"I'm going to make you pay." Y/N spat, taking a step forwards.

Tartaglia sighed, "Come and fight me when you're at your best. If we were to fight now you wouldn't be able to give it your all."

The Harbinger picked up the Fatui agent like a ragdoll and tossed him onto his shoulder.

"Until next time girlie."

"Put him the fuck down and fight me you assho-"

Within the blink of an eye, Tartaglia was behind her. Y/N felt a light blow to the back of her head and instantly her vision went black.

He should have let her fall to the ground, he shouldn't care what happens to her, but he caught her before she hit the ground, and gently put her body on the rag.

'She's just so much like her.'
