Y/N had no idea how long she was crying into Tartaglia's arms.
She didn't stop until her chest started to ache, then she pushed him away.
With one last look at Tartaglia, Y/N turned on her heel and began walking away.
"I'm coming to your apartment tomorrow to check on you." Tartaglia called, knowing it would reach the girls ears. Y/N stopped in her tracks. He knew where she lived now? How long had he known? Her skin was crawling.
"Don't bother Ajax. I don't want you in my apartment, I'll see you around."
Y/N gave him a small wave over her hand, dismissing him.
The man could only watch as her figure faded away into the night. His heart was going at a million miles a second and he didn't know why.
His shirt was slightly damp with the girls tears. The second she pushed him away he missed her warmth, the way she clung to him as she cried, it had been so long since he'd held her like that. Y/N's outburst shocked him, he hadn't expected her to have been hiding all those problems.
Maybe she was just as good at concealing her emotions as he was.
Everything she said repeated on loop for the Harbinger. He never felt anything when he killed someone. To him they were just another useless, disposable being.
And yet, with the way Y/N spoke about her parents, it made him feel something. Something he had never felt before. It was a foreign feeling for Tartaglia, but he knew what it was and he wasn't happy that she was making him feel it.
Guilt.

An E/C eye popped open, squinting at the sunrays peeking through the window.
Y/N yawned, throwing the covers off herself quickly before she was embraced by their warmth again. The girl had learned long ago, that when you wake up and you close your eyes again, you nearly always fall back into your slumber.
She sighed in satisfaction at the sounds of her bones cracking while she stretched.
Coffee sounded really good right now to Y/N. She groggily made her way towards her kitchen to boil some water.
"Morning girlie, you're a late riser."
Y/N yelped in surprise and hurriedly backed away, tripping over her own feet and falling flat onto her ass.
"Careful!" Tartaglia teased, highly amused by the girls reaction.
"The fuck are you doing here at this hour Ajax? Get out." Y/N yelled sternly. Memories from last night were beginning to resurface and it was too early in the morning to be dealing with Tartaglia.
A smirk appeared on the mans face, "What happened to the sweet girl that was crying in my arms last night?" Teasing was one of the Harbingers many specialities. When it came to pissing people off, no one was better than Tartaglia, at least not to Y/N.
She felt a faint blush materialize on her cheeks as he expertly picked at her moment of weakness.
"That was a one time thing, get over it and get out of my home." She spat angrily.
So all along he had known where she lived and he still had the nerve to show up even after everything he did? Y/N was fuming, who did he think he was?
"I have nothing to do today, so I'm going to join you on your daily commissions."
Y/N's eyes narrowed as she walked towards the stove, "No you won't. You're going to leave me alone. I don't want to be around you right now Ajax."
The Harbinger sighed in detest.
"Say what you want, I'm still going with you. I won't get in your way, you won't even know I'm there."
The girls eyes warily followed Tartaglia as he walked closer to her, stopping about a foot away. It was only then that it dawned on Y/N how much he had actually grown. He stood well above six foot, towering over her. Y/N took a step back, to create some space.
Tartaglia took a step forward.
"Why do you even want to come with me?"
Another step back.
"Because I want to see how you fight."
Another step forward.
"Why?"
Y/N gulped when her back met the counter. Tartaglia took a final step towards her and put both of his hands on the counter top behind Y/N, caging her in. Y/N could almost hear her heart beating it was so loud. He leaned down, she could feel his hot breath on her ear.
"So I can learn your weaknesses."
