Y/N felt Kaeya grind up into her, which resulted in a whimper on her behalf.
Tartaglia had finally had enough, he marched over to Y/N's little display and pulled her gently off the man.
"Lemme go prick!" Y/N whined, trying to get out of the gingers hold. The man on the couch now stood up and faced Tartaglia.
"What do you think you're doing?" He asked calmly, knowing full well who the intruder was. The Captain may have been cocky, but he wasn't going to pick a fight with someone who had the ability to kill him with a mere snap of his fingers.
"I'm stopping this one from doing something she'll regret later." Ajax responded, impressed at the Captains ability to not immediately draw fists in his current state.
"How do you know Miss L/N?" He asked the Harbinger curiously.
"I don't know him at all. I don't know who his is!" Y/N yelled hysterically, desperately trying to wiggle her way out of his grasp.
Tartaglia let out an irritated breath, "We're something of childhood friends I'd say, now I'm taking her out of here. I suggest you keep your hands to yourself and your mouth shut if you want to see sunrise Captain."
With a scowl, the Cavalry Captain took his seat again, Y/N was whining like a child.
"Unhand me right now, I want to be with Kaeya!" She growled, aiming a kick at the Harbingers nether regions. However, due to the amount of alcohol she had consumed, Y/N lost her footing and nearly fell to the ground. Her whole world went spinning and before she knew it she was slung over Ajaxs' shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
"Kaeya, please, don't let him take me." YN cried, getting emotional. At this point she was tired and the smallest thing was going to set her off.
All Kaeya could do was give her a soft smile, "I'll come find you tomorrow my dear, and I'll show you around."
That single simple line was enough to comfort Y/N, and instantly her tears stopped.
"Where are you staying Y/N." He gritted out, already regretting his actions tonight. He should never have gone into the tavern. Who was he to stop her from doing what she liked. He shouldn't care about her kissing someone else.
And yet the sight of it made him want to kill the other man.
"None of your business, now put me down. I want to go back." Y/N slammed her fist into his back, there wasn't anywhere near enough power behind it to hurt, but he just left her to it.
The Harbinger saw the little bag Y/N had bought with her, he snatched it and opened it up. Sure enough there was her hotel key card and he started walking in the correct direction.
"Ajax, put me the fuck down."
Tartaglia stopped walking. He had never heard her talk in that tone before, even when she was sober. The man sighed and gently placed Y/N on the ground.
"Why did you kiss him?" He asked gently, gritting his teeth at the memory of someone else's lips touching hers.
All of a sudden Y/N burst out into manic laughter, and when he looked into her eyes it was evident that she was still piss drunk. She doubled over, clutching her sides, silently shaking from how hard she was giggling.
"Y/N." He said warningly, and she stood up, wiping a tear from her face and still chuckling.
"To make you jealous silly." Y/N stated, as if it were the most obvious thing in all of Tevyat.
For the first time, ever, the Harbinger felt his cheeks heat up.
"What..?" He breathed.
Y/N sighed, "I hate you Ajax, so much, but at the same time I think I like you, which is so fucking dumb because you're the reason my parents are dead. I feel like I'd be betraying them."
The man's heart had never beat so fast, he felt like he was about to get a heart attack. Was this how Y/N actually felt? Or was it just because she was drunk?
He was so busy in his own head he almost didn't notice Y/N go up on her tip toes and lean in.
Almost.
He stepped back and caught her smoothly, picking her up bridal style. The girl sighed in disappointment and yawned, closing her eyes, not bothered to say anything else.
"Kiss me when you're sober."
