It had been a couple of weeks since you ran into Kylo. Your brother was still unaware of the situation between you and his boss and Finn was the only person you trusted with that information, even if they were a couple, he was your best friend too.

You had enough of your self-pitying. You liked a guy, you thought you were friends, but he wasn't.

End of the story.

That's what you'd tell yourself over and over again like a mantra. All those late nights talking on the phone. Text messages every morning and night. Some days even during the daytime.

And it was gone. Out of nowhere. You met and then he rushed out the door to never get back to you.

What were the odds to ran into him? And with a supermodel-like girl under his arm. You felt like a fool. You might have overreacted when you confronted him, but the wound was too deep.

He was there every night you were at the hospital. He took care of you. He made sure everything was perfect. He managed to ghost you too.

Did he really think Finn was your boyfriend? It seemed so unrealistic to you, but everything he said led you to that.

He never tried to get back in touch with you. Although how could he when you threw your phone at him?

It had been a while, so you decided to focus on job hunting. Poe gave you his old laptop. It worked painstakingly slow but you'd have to make do with that.

You refreshed every webpage looking for a new job offer to pop up and send your CV. You tried to apply to every job worth the try. You were willing to even go back to catering, babysitting kids or even pets. Nevertheless, you had a tiny bit of hope that you could find a writing gig. You could be the coffee girl for a TV camera guy if that meant that you'd eventually be able to send some of your work in.

Plus, luckily, the meds were working miraculously and you barely felt any of the pain you did before. Your life changed, but you were getting back on track.

You found yourself typing a letter for an editorial opening spot when Vic knocked on your door.

"Hi there, Sissy" He said leaning on the doorframe. "Any luck so far?" You huffed and shook your head.

"Are you guys done packing?" You asked closing the laptop and sinking in the chair.

"Are you trying to kick us out of our place?" Your brother said playfully to which you rolled your eyes and lightly smiled.

"I'm just wondering when I'll be free from your farts. You stinking skunk" he pretended to be shocked at your comment and placed a hand on his chest.

"Me? I don't fart, I perfume the room" he approached you and spun our chair. "Are you sure you're gonna be okay?" He said concerned this time.

Vic and Finn decided to go on a getaway as you were feeling so much better to have some quality time as a couple. You could tell they were nervous to leave you on your own, but you were happy to have some time to yourself too.

"I'm 100% sure" you stood up to hug him. You loved your brother. You'd be lost without him. He's your only family and you knew he'd always be there for you. And you wanted to be the same for him. "please enjoy your trip and bring some fridge magnet or a tacky keychain"

It was your first time on your own at home and you decided to pamper yourself. The very first thing you did was cook some parmesan chicken and you left it in the oven so it'd stay warm.

You filled the tub and set it the way you loved, with enough bubbles to cover your body and a sweet-scented bath bomb. You pour yourself a generous glass of red wine and dipped your body in the warm water.
