Jolt shut the door. 'She's okay now. I'll keep her here for observation,' he said. I nodded. 'Thank you.' I turned around to leave. 'Sunstreaker?' I hummed and turned around. 'I think she can use someone to stick by her side...' he trailed off. 'Ask a nurse. She doesn't want me.' I waved my hand. 'She asked for you.' I frowned. 'For me?' I repeated. He nodded. I passed and strode back into the room. Maybe after all, she does want my company. Guess my theory is right. 'You asked for me?' She nodded.
'I've been thinking...' she trailed off. I hummed. 'You opened my eyes...' she continued. 'I did?' I raised a brow. Finally. She wants to train with me. Took her long enough. 'I quite. I am gonna leave the military.' My jaw nearly stopped. 'What?!' It was the only thing I could utter. 'Yes, I don't like this work anymore.' I shook my head. 'You can't quit! No!' I sat down. 'You can get your old work back. I can make it happen—'
'But I don't want it anymore, Sunstreaker. I can't do it anymore. It doesn't give me the same feeling as it used to do. Since you're my 'boss' I had to tell you. After this, I am going home.' I couldn't find the right words. 'I want to train you.' I looked up. 'Sunstreaker...'
'All I ask is one change.' I sighed softly. 'Give me a change. You haven't given me a change. Please... let me help you. I know exactly what your pain is. I've been there before,' he whispered. 'I don't want to get attached to you. I don't care who you are or what you are, war only brings death. That's what it is.''Skylla...' I sighed. 'I made my decisions and this time, you will not able to change it.' I studied her before I got up and left, slamming the door shut. 'It didn't go well?' Jolt raised a brow. 'She quit. She fragging quit. For once in my life, I had good intentions and I found someone that I wanted to teach my style of fighting. I don't even train my own team... she turned it down, she quit!' I spat out. 'Just leave me alone.' I waved my hand and stormed off. I needed a moment for myself.
((Skylla's P.O.V))
Jolt walked in, checking me and removed some of my infuses. 'Sunstreaker is mad at you...' he began. 'Of course he is. I don't care... I have been mad at him for a long time too,' I grumbled. 'What kind of work are you gonna do if you quit here anyway?' he asked. I casually shrugged. 'Maybe cafe or something.' Jolt snorted. 'You re not the type of person to work in a cafe or restaurant. You need to keep doing things, otherwise it drives you crazy. You need a challenge. You turned down the psychopath's offer... which is foolish in my opinion.' I studied his face. 'Because...?' I asked. 'Sunstreaker is brilliant fighter, really smart and probably an overall good friend if he opens up for you. You will never get an offer like this. Fighting is part of you and I am sure Sunstreaker will always be on your side.'
I snorted and looked away. 'It's not about that... I just don't want to get attached to him,' I muttered. 'You already did. Don't tell me you didn't because I know you did.' I smiled wryly and sat up. 'Go home, Skylla. You need to rest and make sure you eat regularly.' I nodded and grabbed my shoes, pulling them back on. 'Sunstreaker won't leave you. I can assure you that.' I processed his words before walking out.
Sunstreaker was parked in the hanger. I walked up to him. 'I am sorry...' he didn't respond. 'You were right... I am attached to you. If I lose you... I don't think I can cope with that. I don't like seeing you go into battle or just fight in general. You still got your brother, but I haven't. My entire family is dead... I can't lose you too. I know you're mad, I get it... you can be mad.' I turned around. 'Don't you think I have seen bots die in battle? I lost my entire home planet. How do you think it feels for me? Do you think fighting is my choice?' he asked. I turned around. 'We were both wrong. I shouldn't have pushed you and tell people about yout PTSD and you shouldn't have treated me the way you did.'
'But you don't listen. How else am I supposed to make something clear if you never listen?' There was a silence. 'I am not good at listening and I want it my way. I always get what I want, one way or another.' I snorted. 'I will give it a try... but you're not gonna boss me around and force me to do things I don't want to do.' He transformed and crouched down. 'In this work... you need to be trained with a hard hand otherwise you will die. So I will be hard on you and I will be pushing you...I am not gonna be nice because you're a femme.'
I snorted. This entire thing was pointless. I didn't want to continue fighting. It's wrong to say yes while I'm not fully committed to this thing. I met Sunstreaker's optics. 'Okay?' I shrugged. 'Whatever.' I turned around. 'But I need you to be in this a full 100%.' Sunstreaker walked after me and blocked my way again. 'I am not. The only reason I do this is because Jolt talked me into this, not because I want to or because I want to be punished by you. You don't leave me alone anyway if I say no,' I snapped.
Sunstreaker vented. 'I never offered anyone my help. It says a lot about how generous I am.' I snorted; shaking my head in disbelief. 'Just— step away and let me leave, Sunstreaker! I want to go home and I want to be alone.' He let me pass him without trouble. 'I don't think you want to be alone, but whatever.' I ignored his statement and left him standing in the hangar.
