"...so there we were, hunting down these silly little people, who were foolish enough to use the Dark Lord's name..." the man who was left in charge of watching her went yapping to her, nearly driving Hermione insane. Thankfully it wasn't long until finally she heard the crackling of people apparting into the campsite. She turned her head to find Fenrir and Scabior leading the way with two people being dragged alongside them. It took Hermione a moment till she saw it was her friends.
"Harry! Ron! You're ok!!!" she shrieked as she stood up and hurried over towards them. However, instead of a warm welcome she was hoping for, she got a couple of glares from them. Before she could say anything, Fenrir walked over to her before leaning towards her.
"They've learned about your little boy toy, Scabior." Fenrir warned her before peering over their shoulders, "You two-- your tents over there." then proceeding over towards the mess hall. She turned back towards Ron and Harry and as she opened her mouth to speak when they cut in.
"You're with him? A Snatcher? A Snatcher of all people?" Ron asked, shaking his head violently.
"When? How? Why?" Harry questioned her. Hermione opened her mouth, trying to find the words to say but she was coming up empty.
"Say something? Explain yourself?" Ron asked her, on the verge of yelling. Hermione crossed her arms, shaking her head.
"It just happened. Alright? I don't know how it happened... it just... did." Hermione said as best as she could. Harry and Ron stared at her, shaking their heads almost like they were disappointed. Hermione opened her mouth to speak again when Harry and Ron walked past her and towards their tent. Hermione watched as they walked away, wondering what she was going to do with them.
"I can't believe she's seeing that monster!" Ron growled as he hopped onto the bed. Harry shook his head, still in disbelief Hermione was even seeing Scabior. What was so appealing about Scabior? Was it because he was a bit older? Was it because he's kind of a bad boy? Harry couldn't explain it at all.
"I don't know either, but-- I hate to say it, but I kind of think it's a good thing." Harry admitted. Ron shot a glare up at Harry.
"Seriously?"
"Well think about it. If Hermione wasn't seeing Scabior, we would probably be already on our way to the Ministry to be murdered by You-Know-Who." Harry explained to Ron, who was shaking his head that he couldn't believe Harry was even saying any of this.
"You're happy she's seeing him?"
"No! It's not that, Ron. It's just-- it sort of has it's benefits and-- Like it or not, we're going to have to respect Hermione knows what she's doing with Scabior." Harry claimed to Ron. Ron kept shaking his head in disbelief, still unable to believe any of the words Harry was saying.
"This is wrong and you know it." Ron grumbled.
"Well, tough." Harry growled, sitting on the other side's bed, "We're going to have to suck it up and hope this doesn't blow up in our face." Harry claimed to him before turning towards the tent's flap, silently wishing to himself that he understood what was going on in Hermione's head.
