They proceeded to travel for awhile across the country trying to search for horcruxes and trying to figure out how to even destroy them. They attempted to use all sorts of spells they could think of but nothing would even leave a dent in it. It was starting to stress the whole group out especially when they found out the locket feeds on their own negative emotions, which brought the deepest and darkness parts of themselves out.
Hermione had a bad feeling that the tensions between the three of them were starting to arise and was making their living conditions a living hell. She feared that if they didn't figure out a way to get rid of or at least reduce the tension, one of these days they were going to explode. Ron was the most annoying and upset among them. He always had a remark after Hermione had struggled to make them dinner and lunch and the few times she was capable of making breakfast for them, which was hard for her anyway given that they barely had enough things to make a proper meal. And God forbid, he was in the same room as Harry.
While they travelled, her hands cling tightly on the strap of her bag where she had stuffed Scabior's coat inside it. When the tensions got too high, she felt the urge to grab the coat, put it on and go into the forest. She would get upset with herself for wanting to do that. She knew that shouldn't be the first idea on the top of her head, but it was.
Then it happened.
After a long day full of traveling and pauses in between to hide from Death Eaters they spotted flying through the air, they finally settle down deep in the woods and set up the tent and put up the protective charms and spells around it. While she was outside on lookout, reading one of her books in search of answers for their problems, she heard shuffling behind her.
She peered over her shoulder to find Harry walking out of the tent and towards her, bringing out a bowl of stew and a blanket.
"I thought you might be hungry and cold," He said while he sat down beside her then handed her the bowl and blanket. She set her book down before she wrapped the blanket around her then took the bowl of stew.
"Thanks, Harry." She said then forced herself to eat the plain stew. They sat there in silence for a little bit before Harry cleared his throat.
"Do you have any idea what we should do next? I'm out of ideas of what to do about all of this. I feel like the answer is right in front of me but still completely out of reach." Harry asked her, sounding like he was on the verge of giving up.
"I hate to say it, but I'm not sure myself." Hermione admitted to Harry. She hated not knowing anything. Especially when the whole world depends on her knowing the answers to help defeat the Dark Lord. Harry sighed as he leaned against the log while his hands were fumbling with his wand.
"If only we had someone on the other side, who could give us some information of what's going on You-Know-Who's side. Maybe then we'll understand how to destroy these horcruxes." Harry blurted out to her. Hermione nodded her head... till it hit her.
She waited until Ron and Harry were sleeping when she slipped out of her tent, clinging tightly to Scabior's coat in hand. She jogged across their camp and through the protection barrier. She paused a few feet away from the barrier when she wrapped the coat around her before walking through the forest.
An hour past and Hermione was starting to feel completely foolish. She was roaming around the forest wearing the coat of a snatcher, hoping that same snatcher would find her. She had waited about half an hour till she felt this was pointless. She turned around, about to head back when she felt a pair of arms wrapped around her.
