Harry gently laid the locket on top of the log after handing Ron the sword. Hermione was a little concern of Ron destroying the locket. She knew it doesn't matter who destroys it, just as long as it gets destroyed, but she was worried the locket would try something that would make Ron do something he'll regret.

"It's alright, Hermione. It's going to be okay," Harry assured her as he proceeded to open the horcrux. However, as soon as it shot opened, a large black cloud burst out around them, engulfing them in its grasp. Hermione tried to hold tightly to the ground as a heavy wind swirled around her.

"I have seen your heart and your mind..." A voice, Voldemort's voice, spoke suddenly, "I have seen your dreams and your rage..."

"Tired of Ronald Weasley telling you what to feel and who to love... tired of being used... and ignored... and mistreated by your  so-called... friends..."

Hermione lifted her head up to see two figures walking towards her. They were shadows of Harry and Ron walking towards her.

"She's a nightmare... honestly... no wonder she hasn't gotten friends..." Ron spoke out. Hermione shook her head, her hands shot up around her ears as she tried to ignore them, telling her they weren't real.

"You're fraternising with the enemy... he's using you..."

"I can take care of myself!" Hermione shouted at the figure.

"Doubt it... plus he's way to old for you..."

"Shut up!" she screamed.

"They get scarier when they get older..."

"I said.... shut up!" She screamed as she tried to get up and rush away. However, her something seemed to grab her feet as she tripped back down onto the ground.

"When are you going to stop pretending you don't like Scabior? This is just a huge joke to take advantage of him and Fenrir so they could be on our side, right?"

"We've been together for much longer than you have been with this guy and yet you have more faith that he's a changed man than I am right about him might be playing with you. Why are you so determined not to believe me?"

"You're not doing enough!" Harry suddenly spoke up, "You're not doing enough... you're not doing enough..."

As soon as Harry said that, an unspeakable, burning rage began to grow within her person. She wasn't sure what came over her, but the rage scourged throughout her veins as it caused her to pull her wand from her pocket as she pointed it directly at them. Without thinking, she began shooting spells at the shadows and didn't slow down despite watching the spells go through the shadows, causing them to become for a brief second a puff of smoke before being merged together again.

Over and over, she listened as Harry's phrase kept echoing in her ears. You're not doing enough... out of all the hurtful things that had been said to her, that hurt the most. After all the things she had done for them, helping them with homework, helping them to keep out of trouble, making sure they didn't die... and how ungrateful they were. Getting mad because how dare she want to look over for Harry instead of just letting him keep his Firebolt without it getting check out on or how Ron blamed her for the disappearance of his rat... and neither of them respecting her judgement for what she wanted to do especially when she wanted to date someone...

She kept blasting spells repeatedly, listening to every explosion echoing back into her ear.

"HERMIONE!"

She turned, her wand outstretched before her as a red spark flashed in front of her. She gasped as she saw Harry and Ron were standing in front of her, staring at her with pure terror written on their faces. Her wand was a few inches away from Harry's face. Slowly, Hermione lowered her wand down to her side as she carefully backed away from her friends, who were staring at her like she was the enemy.
