"Teddy! Teddy!" Tonks screamed while she rummaged through the living room.
"He's got to be here somewhere!" Remus shouted while flinging opening the top shelves of the kitchen.
"Don't worry we'll find him." Molly assured them as she tried to finish fixing breakfast for everyone. Just then, Hermione came walking into the kitchen holding onto a sleepy Teddy, who was lightly snoring.
"Looking for someone?" She asked, gently rocking Teddy in her arms.
"TEDDY!" Tonks cried out as she rushed over and sweep Teddy from Hermione's arms. While she tightly hugged Teddy, mumbling how she wasn't going to let him out of her sight again, Remus walked over and softly petted Teddy's head.
"Where was he? We've looked everywhere for him." Remus asked.
"He had snuck back into Fenrir and Scabior's room. I think he likes Fenrir, because I found him sleeping on Fenrir's chest when I woke up." Hermione told them. Remus's eyes shot opened.
"He was in the same room as that madman? He was next to Fenrir?" Remus asked, a hint of a growl pulsing in his voice. Tonks grasped Remus's shoulder.
"Remus, he's not hurt. That's the important thing." Tonks assured him.
"He still was with Fenrir. He could have bitten Teddy or something." Remus mumbled.
"But he didn't. We'll just keep a closer eye on Teddy. Now lets have some breakfast. I'm sure Teddy must be hungry." Tonks said, lightly shaking Teddy's arm and making funny faces at him while leading their way over to the breakfast table. Remus's glare lingered on Hermione for a bit before he turned around and headed after Tonks.
"So he really gave you the stink eye?" Fenrir asked, munching on his pancakes.
"I wouldn't call it a stink eye, Fenrir. I would call it a death look." Hermione said before taking a sip of her tea, "I think at that moment he actually thought about ripping my throat open when I mentioned Teddy had slipped in here and fell asleep on you."
"Well he is still bitter with how Fenrir here turned him." Scabior pointed out, "And with the way society treats werewolves it only made him more bitter towards Fenrir."
"Which is why I'm not backing down with wanting a better life for my people. They shouldn't have to be treated with such harshness." Fenrir mumbled through chews.
"That's the part I don't understand," Hermione blurted out, "Why would you join a man, who you know talks down to people like you. Half-breeds?"
"Because unlike your side, he was offering me something in return for my service."
"More victims to turn?" Hermione asked.
"Well when you put it like--" Fenrir started to speak when the door began to swing opened. They turned their heads to find Kingsley walked in.
"It is time for our negotiation." Kingsley told her.
*Small time skip of three and a half hours later*
"...Will you just agree so we can get this over with!" Remus shouted.
"NO!" Fenrir growled, banging his fists against the table. Remus and Fenrir were on the other ends of the table, basically in a shouting match. Everyone else was leaning in their seats either messing with their wands or staring at the ceiling or watching the fight going back and forth between the two. Scabior was leaning himself against Hermione's lap as he allowed her to braid his hair.
"We're not getting anywhere with this!" Remus screamed, "we're merely going around in circles here. This is completely pointless."
"Not at all! If you would agree with my terms for a better life for werewolves, we would already be done by now!" Fenrir shouted at him, "I do not see why this is such a problem with you. It benefits you as well, Pup!"
"Do not call me that!" Remus shouted him. Fenrir opened his mouth to shout at him some more till the door opened to reveal Andromeda, holding onto Teddy, who was clinging to a piece of paper while sucking on his thumb.
"Sorry to interrupt but Teddy was feeling a bit peckish." Andromeda told them as she headed over to the fridge. Tonks took Teddy from her mother's arms as she held him onto her lap.
"What's this, Teddy?" She asked him as she held up the piece of paper to look at it.
"It's a drawing. It's for Papa." Teddy said.
"Oh, I'm sure Daddy would love--"
"Not Daddy," Teddy interrupted her before pointing over to Fenrir, "Papa."
Everyone was stun but none were as stun as Fenrir. His eyes widened as his lips pursed into a straight line. Tonks darted her eyes between Remus and Fenrir a couple of times before looking at Teddy.
"Do you want to give it to Papa?" Tonks asked him. Teddy took his drawing and hopped off Tonks lap then wobbled over to Fenrir. He stuck his arm out, holding the drawing to Fenrir. Fenrir stood there for a few minutes like he wasn't sure what to do. Then he leaned down and took the picture from him.
"Thank you." Fenrir said, his voice cracking. Teddy smiled his goofy grin.
"Come along, Teddy. We'll eat in the living room." Andromeda told him. She walked over, took Teddy's hand within her own, and walked Teddy out of the kitchen. Teddy turned his head back around for a minute, waved bye to Fenrir, then walked out of the kitchen. No one said a word. Hermione gaze over to see Fenrir slowly sit down, his lips were quivering as tears were on the brim of his eyes. It was then Hermione knew this was the first time Fenrir had ever been shown a little affection in his life. Hermione lowered her head then turned and shot a firm look at Remus.
"Remus. I agree with Fenrir's terms. It's only fair." Hermione told him. Everyone turned towards her, looking at her in shock.
"I agree too." Tonks blurted out secondly.
"Me too." Harry said thirdly. One by one everyone began to agree to Fenrir's terms till it was only Remus who was left. He stood there, frowning and looking angry as ever till he took a deep breath and slowly released it.
"Fine." He mumbled before turning around and storming out of the kitchen.
