"お前は一体誰だ (Omae wa ittai dareda" their voice echoed. (Who the hell are you?).
Thank goodness I had learnt how to speak Japanese or else, I would have been toast.
"お願い助けて (Tasukete)" I spoke in my cracked voice. (Help me, please ).
Their guns were diverted from my view for a while and their figure cam to view.
There were five of them, three females and two males and all of them were wearing military uniforms.
"彼女はどうして私たちのように話すことができたのでしょうか? (Kanojo wa dono yō ni hanasu koto ga dekimasu ka Watashitachi no yōna?)" one of the ladies asked. (How could she speak like us?).
"彼女も私たちのようには見えません (Kanojo mo watashitachi no yō ni wa miemasen)" another observed. (She doesn't look anything like us either).
"そして、なぜ彼女は私たちの助けを求めているのですか? (Naze kanojo wa watashitachi no tasuke o motomete iru nodesu ka)" another asked. (And why is she looking for our help?).
"それが単なる罠かどうかは誰にもわかりませんが、彼女を信じるべきでしょうか? (Kanojo o shinjirubeki ka, Sore ga tan'naru wana ka dō ka dare ga shitte imasu ka?)" one of them pointed out. (Should we even believe her, who knows if it is just a trap?).
It was like they had forgotten I could hear all that they were saving.
"船長のところに行きましょう、彼は何をすべきか知っているでしょう (Kyaputen ni ikimashou, Kare wa shitte irudeshou Kanojo o dō suru ka)" someone suggests. (Let's go to the captain, he'll know what to do with her).
"起きる(Okiru)" the first female to speak commanded in a stern voice that made me flinch for a bit. (Get up).
With that, they walked me up into the camp grounds.
The place look like it has experienced so many deaths as it reeks of it, not to talk of all the people training and far ahead, I could see some shooting while some were testing some new technology bombs.
It's just like your typical military base.
Soon, we reached a huge compartment and they asked me to wait by the door and don't say a thing or even move.
All of them went in and left me out there and I couldn't help but feel like running away again.
The place just didn't feel right for me.
As I was trying to set the transporter even though I didn't know how, the door busted open and I was urged in.
It was a simple office with nothing fancy but a desk and four chairs surrounding it.
The soldiers from earlier were all standing straight at the side of the room and so, I didn't dare sit as well.
"どこから来ましたが?(Doko kara kimashita ka)" that was the first question he asked of me. (Where are you from?).
I was scared to tell them where exactly I was from as I was scared that the would try to send me back which was the last thing I wanted right now.
"知らない (Wakaranai)" I answered. (I don't know).
His face turned into a frown by my answer and I was afraid be was going to get me arrested for it but he didn't.
"どうやってここに入ってきたの? (Dō yatte koko ni haitta no, Kono basho no sekyuriti wa toppa dekinainode,-dōshimashita ka)?" he asked again. (How did you come in here, the security in this place is impenetrable, so how did you?).
Now that was also a question that I couldn't answer, I do not even dare.
I just dropped my head and he assumed that I had somehow lost my memory or something.
"では、なぜ私たちの助けが必要なのですか?(Dewa, naze watashitachi no tasuke ga hitsuyōna nodesu ka?)" he asked. (Why do you need our help then? ).

Without any hesitation, I have him the answer to that question.
"何人かは私を殺そうとしています (Nan'ninka wa watashi o korosou to shite imasu)" I answered. (Some people are trying to kill me).
"彼らは誰なの?(Karera wa darena no)" he asked. (Who are they?).
I was hesitant to tell him their names as well.
First, maybe he didn't even know who they were and secondly, maybe he did but are in good terms with them as they seemed to be too good at hiding their dirty jobs and so, he wouldn't believe me, I thought.
"メディチ家 (Medichi-ka)" my mouth betrayed and answered. (The family of Medici).
All the people in the room gasped, as if I had done something so scary, or rather, said.
"これは国際的な問題のようだ、今すぐコミッショナーに連れて行って (Koreha Kokusaimondai, Kanojo o tsurete Ima komisshonā ni)" he commanded. (This seem to be an international matter, take her to the commissioner now).
And before I could think of counting to ten, we have already boarded a flying jet and we're out the camp.
Soon, we landed in the city and I was guided to the commissioner's office.
They explained to him all that had went on back at the camp and he was so tensed to hear that.
I had gathered from all this that the two did not have a good relationship connection.
"So, how are you connected with the Medici family?" the commissioner asked in his not so good English.
He seemed more friendly than the people back at the camp and so, I told him most of what he needed to know.
"So, you are telling me that you are immortal and they wanted to get that power from you, but how and why are you immortal?" he asked.
Well, that wasn't an answer I was willing to give him as I had a feeling that they woul also love to tap into it after knowing the truth.
So, I just told him I had no idea.
"And what is that in your hand, why is it glowing?" he asked.
I lifted my hand and the transporter came to view.
That was something I was willing to share with them.
"It is a transporter" I answered.
"What is that?" he asked, confused.
I also did not know how to explain it to him and so, I told him whatever I knew.
"Could I see it?" he asked.
I tried to take it off but it wasn't ready to take off.
"Interesting, seems like it is stuck, that is an interesting technology" he said.
We were silent for a while am then he spoke again.
"The Medici and the Japanese Nation have been enemies for more than we could remember as the people were always greedy for more power and you being here seem like a chance for us to finally defeat them once and for all, so, with your permission, can you please allow us to replicate a copy of your transporter?" he asked.
I was silent for a while. If I said yes, then they would agree to let me stay as well and if I don't, maybe they would throw me out.
I nodded my head in affirmation.
"Then from today, we promise to protect you from those monsters, you are now under our protection" he said in a stern voice which means he meant business.
Finally, I was happy that I finally got the protection that I needed.
**********
Two years have passed since I was in the Japanese Nation and true to their words, I was protected as they could not find me through out all these years.
But that was in exchange for my transporter. I had learnt a lot about it since I came down there.
Like how it used a high electricity voltage. The buttons that you could push to set in the time and era or even the planet you want to go. But the planet part takes a lot of energy.
I also learnt that if you wanted to transport, all you needed to do was thinking about it and it would pick up the location through it's neuro transmitter and then you'll be good to go.
They even wanted to tap into my body to find out why I became immortal but I wasn't ready for that as I was afraid that they woul also try to take advantage.
I'm essence, they were just like the Medici's but with a slight difference as they didn't know the answers to all their problem.
All was going well and they were planning on launching the first transporter that they had managed to clone.
I was so glad as I would not be in the lab all the time as no matter how many times we had tried to pull off the thing, it wasn't ready to get off.
I even recharge it with my hard and lucky enough for me, it didn't shock me all the time and I also got to find out that it was 100% waterproof.
"Thank you very much for your utmost cooperation miss keethana, we wouldn't have been able to invent such extraordinary technology without your help, for that, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts" the commissioner said.
I had been living at his house back at the camp and I have grown close to his wife. Even though he had no female child, he had three sons and all of them were in the military.
"Thank you for having me here with you and also showing me just how to protect myself from all impending danger" I thanked him as well.
True, he has had his best trainers to train me in the combat. Although I wasn't good at it, at least I get to protect myself from attackers.
"You are like the daughter I never had, so I am bound to protect you all the way I can" he said.
Just by saying that, he made me remember my biological parents.
All these years, I had tried my best not to think about them but I had to that day.
I had to wonder if they were still alive but something tell me that it was a possibility.
With that, we all went on with our lives, anticipating the day of the launching.
And soon, they planned to attack those Medici's and finally finish them off which I was also on board with. But little did we know that they were way ahead of us.
**********
Three days to the launching, all the camp was woken up from the most horrible incident ever.
As soon as I heard the march, got out to join on with the others.
I had never seen all of the soldiers in one place but that day I did.
They all seemed to be walking to one direction, the front gates of the camp and I decided to follow and see what was going on.
Everyone started to gasp from the sight.
Some important personnels of the camp have been brutally murdered and their body have been chopped off and thrown like garbage in front of the gates.
As all the others were inspecting to see who the victims were, my eyes caught a sight of some scribbled writing on the broken gates.
'WE ARE COMING FOR YOU' I read.
I felt panicked all of a sudden as there was no doubt I knew just whee it came from.
Just like that, I fell to the ground, unconscious. Just when I thought I was safe from them, they found me.
