"This is much more serious than you'll ever think, they are killers, one of them can kill thousands" I say.
The whole house was silent for a while until the two children spoke again.
"Keethana, you are asked to present yourself by midnight tonight or we will be forced to execute everyone around and get you" the children say as if it is the most casual thing to say.
"What do they mean by that?" Naeemi asks.
"Just what they meant but..."
I looked over at the children and was hesitant to say whatever I want to.
Their mother understood my hesitation and so she spoke.
"Tonny, Lily, it's time for bed now" she says holding the children's hands.
"But we want to see how this kids will be defeated" tonny says.
"Yes, we want to" the little girl adds.
"Don't worry, your father will come in and scare them away" the mother says.
And that made the children agree with her as they were happy their hero of a father is able to take down these assailants.
"So, you are like my own age but have managed to make enemies, you must be a badass bitch" Naeemi says.
"And how old are you?" I ask.
"Seventeen, going eighteen next week" she says.
I just smiled at her.
This actually reminded me of a particular statement.
I might not be that much older from her now but I know that I haven't grown an inch since that day.
"I am twenty three" I tell her.
"You must be fucking kidding me, right?" she gasps.
"Naeemi, language" the mother warns.
The girl just rolled her eyes.
She ushered us all back to the living room and I can hear the children all taking formation. This time, they might even decide to blow up the planet.
"So, how kind of bad are you talking about?" the mother asks, worried.
She has now gotten the hang of the trouble they have gotten themselves into.
"I know you will regret ever helping me after this but I am really thankful for all you did" I hesitate.
"These children were designed to be killing machines and nothing more, one of them is capable of killing a whole city and that too without a scratch" I pause.
"I have only seen them once and they were even in the process of testing at that time and they were pretty dangerous, they murdered hundreds of animal herds in just a few minutes and now, seeing them out here, I know they must have perfected them into the most lethal weapons ever known to mankind" I say.
"So, you mean to say that they use children as weapon?" she asks.
I nodded at her.
"Oh my God! This is bad" she says.
"Real bad because I'm sure they will do as they said" I add.
"But isn't there any solution to get to them, you said that you have once seen them in action, so you must have known their weaknesses?" Naeemi asks.
"Weakness is what these things do not have"  I say.
"But there is one way out" I mutter.
"What is it?" they both ask at the same time with so much enthusiasm.
I took a deep breath, unable to even voice it out.
"I have to surrender myself" I say.
"What, no! You can't do that" the mother screams.
"We can't let you do that, at least not now that we know we are in grave danger because of you, so we might as well finish it together" Naeemi says and shrugs.
"If you won't mind, can you please tell us why and how you got mixed up with people like that?" the mother asks.
"It's too brutal, I don't think..."
"I am an adult, well, almost, so I'm sure I can handle any shit" she says.
I take a deep breath.
"It all started five years ago" I began.

Five years ago

I was from a poor town called Linsdale. We were all living our simple lives with no complications.
But I Keethana, always loved adventure and I felt that there was more to this world that my own tiny town where everyone knew each other's names.
Even though I kept on pleading with my parents to get me to the university after I graduated high school but they would never agree.
They always said that it's safer in here than out there but I wouldn't agree with them. They were just afraid that I would leave their sides and that's all.
I have waited everyday for my adventure to come but it didn't.
So many times, I had tried to escape but could not. I was such a trouble maker back then.
But then one day, my adventure came. But it came in the form of a man.
I was running an errand for my parents when I saw a car pass by. It's not like any car I've ever seen before. It's new and it looks beautiful.
So, I abandoned my errand and followed the car like a small child but to me, it was the adventure I've ever wanted and now I have it.
Just getting close to that car would make me feel like I've accomplished something out of the norms of my township and that would make me proud for the rest of my days.
I kept on rushing after the car and soon, it parked in front of our mayor's building.
I hid behind a tree like some criminal and I hear the doors open and then, they were closed once again.
I waited for a bit just to be sure that they are all out of sight, so, I came out to my hiding place and proceed to the car.
"Wow!" I exclaimed.
If I had thought these cars as amazing, then I was mistaken, they were actually out of this world.
They were all black in color and they are high up the sky, like real high.
I move up close to the car and I started seeing my reflection on the car.
You now that thing that the car does when you stand in front of it and it tends to compress your height and stretch your width. Well, this car doesn't have it.
It's like I was staring directly at my reflection but only a bit blurry than a mirror.
This alone captivated my attention as I stood there, staring back at myself.
I kept waving at myself and making faces at myself like I little child.
I've always viewed myself as a child you know, so I kept on behaving like one even though my parents have always told me not to that one day it would get me into trouble.
I guessed that day that they were talking about was actually today as when I was busy messing around, I didn't hear anyone coming closer to me and then only thing I heard was.
"Hey you kid! What the hell do you think you are doing with our car?" The man screams out.
